DESCRIPTION

4th Hole – current description A fine par 4, which doesn't take full advantage of the topography of the land and the holes potential doglegging to create a better strategy. The bunkering on the hole(one to the right-hand side of the green only) lacks any visual interest and is simply not competitive enough.

Course Development Programme Year 2 (Commencing October 2015) Introduction After the success of phase 1 last year and the construction and refurbishment of bunkers on the 2 nd, 8 th and 10 th holes we are now in the process of planning phase 2. This is set to commence late October and will consist of a similar process involving holes 4,7 and 11. 4th Hole current description A fine par 4, which doesn't take full advantage of the topography of the land and the holes potential doglegging to create a better strategy. The bunkering on the hole(one to the right-hand side of the green only) lacks any visual interest and is simply not competitive enough. 4th Hole - Alterations Refurbish existing greenside bunker Install new greenside bunker (depending on amount of rock in area) New fairway bunker (visible from tee) New tees to be added at a later date once bunker renovations are complete. 7th Hole current description Plays with a blind drive with two bunkers, blind and unfair to the left side of the landing area. Fairway bunkers are hopelessly out of style and character with the rest of the bunkers on the golf course. The green falls away significantly from front left to rear right, therefore bunker to the left side of the approach is to close to the putting surface. 7th Hole - Alterations Move left hand greenside bunker away from putting surface and refurbish right hand bunker. Remove fairway bunkers Additional forward tee to be added at later date 11 th Hole current description Excellently laid out par 4 at 410 yards form the white markers Fairway has no bunkering at all and would benefit form this. The green is bland and open with the bunkering to its right hand side somewhat invisible, poorly shaped and in poor condition. Drainage water runs across the green form the left hand side and gathers on the back half of the green. 11 th Hole - Alterations Re-contour putting surface to allow excess water to run off right hand side and prevent flooding. Revise greenside bunkering New fairway and approach bunkering to create new playing strategy. Improve teeing area at a later date.
