Qualification & Certification Tracks

Certification tracks are provided to ensure the requirements for selling, installing, and servicing Ascom products are being met. Currently there are two certifications available, as an individual person or as a Reseller/Strategic Partner.

Ascom Product Qualification (Individual) Individual qualifications are given upon successful completion of the enrolled course. The Ascom Product Qualifications are provided to recognize the individual’s participation in and completion of the course. Specific Product Qualification courses include:

Ascom Certified Systems Integrator (Company) Ascom Certified Systems Integrator (ACSI) is awarded to a company (Reseller/Strategic Partner) that participates in and completes the assigned Certification track. MOBILITY Training: IP-DECT

Key Competence Objectives

The IP-DECT course is an instructor-led training course that teaches students how to perform general administration of an Ascom IP-DECT system. This course is intended for those responsible for the day to day administration of an IP-DECT system, as well as persons responsible for installing and integrating IP-DECT systems.

The course is a mixture of lecture and hands on lab. There is a certification exam given at the end of the course. A score of 70% or better is required for certification. Handset operation (Myco/d62/d63/d81) and device management.

- Add/change end user profiles - Change caller ID presentation. - Establish and change routing tables. - Perform backup/restore functions on an IP-DECT system. - Subscribe Ascom handsets, change handset functions with Device Management. - Perform basic diagnostic functions. - Use Site Survey Mode on the handsets. - Establish Master and Air Sync for a system. - Create and modify PRI settings on the gateway. - Create and modify routing on the gateway. - Use Wireshark for packet capture.

MOBILITY Training: VoWiFi

VoWiFI Basic is five days of instructor-led training designed for people responsible for general configurations and frequent maintenance and administration of the VoWiFi system. Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to maintain a VoWiFi system by administering the Ascom VoIP Gateway and the Ascom portable handsets. The course is a mixture of lecture and hands-on lab. There is a certification exam given at the end of the course. A score of 70% or better is required for certification.

- LAN and WLAN basic requirements - VoWiFi basic requirements - PBX connectivity - Portable handset functions, use, programming - Handset functions (Myco/i62/i75) - Administration of the Ascom VoIP Gateway: moves, adds and changes, IP addressing and settings, LDAP settings, PRI interface settings, number planning, logging, tracing, redundancy, system backups and restore. - Portable Device Manager, programming portable handsets, including Myco and i62 - Configuring the UniteCM - Troubleshooting

Designed to continue learning for technical professionals who has completed the Unite Basic course. The UNITE AM Installation course teaches students how to integrate third party systems using UNITE AM, as well as provide smart integrations capable of delivering immediate and automated information alerts to mobile or stationary users.

- Learn how to apply the Ascom solution concepts for various integrations (examples include Connect for Nurse Call and MMG). - An overview of the common third-party Information Systems common to environments familiar to the individual students. - Learn how to ask the right questions and obtain the information needed to perform successful third party integrations. - Workshops and lab activities to integrate with information systems and applications. - Workshops to configure more advanced Unite functionality and solutions. - Detailed instruction on the Action Configuration and Task Assignment (Ascom gateways main component). - Setup and use of Unite Assign, View, Alarm Agent, and Analyze. - Windows server settings (2008 and 2012). - SQL Configuration. - License structure & calculations. - Adding users and devices (d62, i62, and Myco). - Learn how to use Electronic Health Record (EHR).

The Patient Gateway Technical Training course provides classroom instruction to certify administrators and service professionals. This class covers the administration, configuration and integration of the following Ascom Patient Gateway products: - Lismax Gateway - Rismax Gateway - Cardiomax Gateway

Successful completion of this course is required to install and service the mentioned Ascom medical device products. Patient Gateway training is also a re-certification program for the Ascom products listed above. Individuals who completed UNITE Basic and UNITE Advanced technical training after January 30, 2011 may qualify to waive the Patient Gateway training requirement. As a minimum, training for product and process changes must be conducted and assessed in order for Patient Gateway training to be waived.

Designed to provide learning for owner/administrators of a UNITE AM based system. The UNITE Administration course teaches students how to perform common tasks associated with an integrated UNITE AM system.

- Overview of UNITE AM and associated products. - Use and configuration of UNITE View. - Use and configuration of UNITE Assign. - Use and configuration of UNITE Alarm. - Use and configuration of UNITE Reporting (Analyze). - License structure and calculations

Students will perform lab activities using a pre-installed system.

- Synchronizing modules and adding users. - Adding Units/Locations to existing organization. - Incorporating locations into UNITE View and Unite Assign. - Adding/changing users and devices, including d62, i62, and Myco - Learn how to set up and use UNITE View, Assign, Alarm Agent, and Analyze.
