Dear Friends,

The 25th anniversary of World Day of Prayer, beginning Wednesday evening, September 12, returns Silent Unity and friends to the foundation of Unity prayer: celebrating and affirming the true spiritual nature of healing. Echoing this year’s Unity monthly themes, World Day of Prayer carries the title “Courage to Heal.”

The 24-hour Prayer Vigil will again be the central activity at Unity Village. Related events will align with the affirmation:

I am a healing presence.

To support you and your community’s local World Day of Prayer events, we have included in this packet: • A checklist of ways to participate• Sample prayer lists for your congregation• A poster and press release, which you may personalize with your own information• A schedule of events at Unity Village noting the activities we plan to live-stream at worlddayofprayer.org

For the convenience of ministries outside of local Unity Village time, this year’s opening ceremony will include a prerecorded keynote video featuring New Thought leaders discussing the theme of healing. The video will be made available a few days ahead at worlddayofprayer.org. It will be ready at your start time. If you will be hosting a World Day of Prayer activity or event, please email [email protected] and it will be posted to the site. Join our Silent Unity Facebook page, and invite your community to do so as well. There you will find video reflections and related posts in advance of World Day of Prayer, and you will be able to post your World Day of Prayer photos and news. Knowing the collective power of prayer, we join in a consciousness of wholeness that heals us, our family and community, our earth, and our world. Courageously one with you,
