According to estimation of WHO, there are 5-10% of Malaysia population are PWDs, which is approximately 1.03 to 2.7 million.

Six more centres were set up in various cities and leading by PWDs

Independent Living and Leadership Training Project were introduced to Malaysia since 2005

by Human Care Association from Japan.

Beautiful Gate set up an Independent Living Centre, named as Society of Independent Living

For Disabled, Selangor, in year 2008.
