1. Sew (1) 3” x 42 ½” Fabric C strip to each side of the 20 ½” x 42 ½” Fabric A panel. Sew (1) 2” x 3” Fabric T strip to each end of (1) 2” x 20 ½” Fabric C strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the 20 ½” x 42 ½” Fabric A panel. Trim the block to measure 24 ½” x 44 ½” to make the Center Block (Fig. 1).

2. Place (1) 2 ⅞” Fabric D square on top of (1) 2 ⅞” Fabric T square, right sides together. Draw a line across the diagonal of the top square (Fig. 2). Sew ¼” away from each side of the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 2). Cut the (2) squares apart on the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 3) to make (2) half-square triangles. Trim the half-square triangles to measure 2 ½” square to make (2) Unit 1 squares (Fig. 4). Repeat to make (6) Unit 1 squares total.

3. Repeat Step 2 and refer to Figures 5-20 for fabric identification and placement to make the designated number of 2 ½” units for Unit 2 through Unit 17. There will be a total of (152) 2 ½” squares.

23. Sew the Side Pieced Border 2 strips to the Center Block. Sew the Top and Bottom Pieced Border 2 strips to the Center Block.

24. Sew 2 ½” x 52 ½” Fabric B strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 36 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

25. Sew the Side Pieced Border 3 strips to the Center Block. Sew the Top and Bottom Pieced Border 3 strips to the Center Block.

26. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 60 ½” Fabric D strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 44 ½” Fabric D strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

27. Sew (1) 7” x 62 ½” Fabric K strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 4” x 57 ½” Fabric K strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

28. Sew (1) 2” x 69 ½” Fabric B strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 2” x 60 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

29. Sew the Side Pieced Border 4 strips to the Center Block. Sew the Top and Bottom Pieced Border 4 strips to the Center Block to make the quilt top.

30. Layer and quilt as desired.

31. Sew the (8) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric B strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

32. Bind as desired.
