NATIONAL COUNSELOrS WEEk The week of February 5th -9th is National School Counseling

week. During the first week of February our morning announcements will highlight all the great tools students have gained from the school counseling department. This week is

dedicated to highlighting the tremendous impact school counselors have in helping students achieve success and

advocating for the profession a meaningful means for a school to have. Each day during National School Counseling week

students will participate in our ‘Throw Kindness like Confetti Project’! Each day they will add a kind act to our wall.

NEW ONLINE CArEEr ExPLOrATION PrOGrAm

This year, we are fortunate to have access to an online-based career education program called Paws in Jobland. Students and parents can access this program from home by clicking on the Paws Logo under

'Web Apps' on the MCSD Website. Paws includes fun games and activities for your child to enjoy and begin their career exploration

THIS mONTH’S GUIDANCE LESSON As we have been learning about diversity, students will be

starting conversations about kindness in our lessons. Students will learn to be kind despite differences in how others look, feel and think. We will be focusing on one of our 3RS, respectful. Students will connect respectful to

being kind and how they can make our school a friendlier place to be. Students will be challenged to be kind throughout the month of February and every day.

COmmUNITy ACTIvITIES fAIr Get your students active this summer! Saturday,

February 24, 2018 from 10am-12pm Mifflin County Library will be hosting a Summer Activity Fair open to all. The fair will showcase different activities and events your

child can enjoy this summer. Keep your students active and learning by getting them involved this summer!
