4 Weekly Sessions beginning Tuesday, April 16th 1:00 - 2:00 pm
This class is derived from the “Rock Steady Exercise Program.” It empowers people with Parkinson’s Disease to fight back using non-contact boxing and addresses the major challenges of the disease: balance, hand-eye coordination, strength, agility, cognitive skills and movement disorders.
Medical evidence supports the positive benefits associated with this type of exercise in slowing the
progression of Parkinson’s Disease.
Cost is $70. for all 4 sessions. Equipment is provided.

In this beginner level class we’ll look at how artists depict the world of plants in art history to gain inspiration for our drawings. Learn various techniques of botanical illustration. Students are encouraged to use pencils, erasable colored pencils, watercolor pencils or slim waterproof markers. Please bring a 14X 17” pad of white paper, not cream colored, for best results.

Volunteer Opportunities
Have you ever thought of volunteering at the Council On Aging? It can be a rich and rewarding experience. We have come up with specific jobs that we need help with - each with its own degree of commitment. Read on and see what appeals to you!
Boxing Program Volunteer - Volunteer to be paired up to support individuals who will be participating in a new non-contact boxing program.
Tuesday Matinee Movie Usher - Our monthly movie is scheduled on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 12:30pm. The usher will arrive at least 30 minutes early to help set up our folding chairs, then pop the popcorn and serve it. We usually have 25-30 guests.
Thrift Shop Help - volunteer will assist with waiting on patrons and organizing shop.
