A. That the City Council designate the unnumbered location situated one sidewalk square northerly of and between numbered locations 92B and 93B as shown on Sheet 11 of Plan D-13788 for the Hollywood Walle of Fame for the installation of the name of Mark Wahlberg at 6259 Hollywood Boulevard.
B. Inform the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce of the Council ' s action on this matter.
C. That this report be adopted prior to the date ofthe ceremony on July 29, 2010.
FISCAL IMPACT STATEMENT:
No General Fund Impact. All cost paid by permittee.

The Walk of Fame Committee of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has submitted a request for insertion into the Hollywood Walk of Fame the name of Mark Wahlberg. The ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 11:30 a.m.
The communicant's request is in accordance with City Council action of October 18, 1978, under Council File No. 78-3949. Following the Council's action of approval, and upon proper application and payment of the required fee, an installation permit can be secured at 201 N. Figueroa Street, 3rd Floor, Counter 23".

MARK WAHLBERG - (Category - MOTION PICTURES) Requested star location to be 6259 Hollywood Boulevard in front of Dillon's Irish Pub on the North/East corner of Hollywood & Vine. The star for MARK WAHLBERG will be placed in the second row next to the original row closest to the property. The stars situated in the original row where star is near are BETTY HUTION (92B) to the east, and BARRY NELSON (93B) to the west. According to sheet # 11 plan 13788, MARK WAHLBERG' star has no designated number and is next to the star of Chris Berman in the second row which does not have a number either. The dedication ceremony is scheduled forThursday,July 29,2010, at 11:30 a.m.

NEW WALK OF FAME RECIPIENTS FOR 2010
HOLLYWOOD, CA.-A new group of entertainers in motion pictures, television? live theater, and recording have been selected to receive stars on the Hollywood Walle of Fame, it was announced today by the Walk of Fame Committee of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. These individuals were chosen from among hundreds of nominations to the committee at a mee'tit1.g held June 15, and ratified by the Chamber's Board of Directors.

MARK WAHLBERG (Terry Hoitz) eamed Academy Award® and Golden Globe nominations for his standout
performance in Martin Scorsese's acclaimed drama The Departed.
Wahlberg's remarkable film career began with Penny Marshall's Renaissance ~Man and The Basketball Diaries
with Leonardo DiCaprio, followed by a star turn opposite Reese Witherspoon in the thriller Fear. He has
enjoyed playing diverse characters for visionary filmmakers such as David 0. Russell, Tim Bmton and Paul
Thomas Anderson. His breakout role in Boogie Nights established Wahlberg as one of Hollywood's most
sought-after talents. He later headlined Three Kings and The Pe1ject Storm with George Clooney and The
Italian Job with Charlize Theron. He then starred in the football biography Invincible with Greg Kinnear, and in
Shooter, based on the best-selling novel Point oflmpact. He reunited with The Yards director James Gray and
co-star Joaquin Phoenix in We Own the Night, which he also produced. In 2008, he starred in M. Night
Shyamalan's The Happening and also in Max Payne.
He appeared recently in director Peter Jackson's adaptation of The Lovely Bones opposite Rachel Weisz and
Susan Sarandon and in Date Night opposite Tina Fey. He next stars opposite Will Ferrell in the action-comedy

Set in New York City, The Other Guys follows Detective Allen Gamble (Will Ferrell), a forensic accountant who's niore interested in paperwork than hitting the streets, and Detective Terry Hoitz (Mark Wahlberg), a tough guy who has been stuck with Allen as his partner ever since an unfortunate run-in with Derek Jeter. Allen and Terry idolize the city's top cops, Danson and Highsmith (Dwayne Johnson and Samuel L. Jackson), but when an opportunity arises for the Other Guys to step up, th ings don't quite go as planned.
