Rule 7. Strike out the words "three t imes" and insert " twice ," and strike out the word " t e n " and insert "five."
Rule 8. Add "and shall thereupon without motion be referred to the proper committee unless otherwise ordered."
Rule 14. Strike out the words " a succeeding" and insert " the next regular". Strike out all after "reconsidered."
Rule 19 In line 8 from top of page after "ordered" inseert "by two-thirds of the members present."
Rule 17. So amended as to read as follows: The followng standing committees shall be appoiuted, the first named member of any committee to be chairman thereof to-wit:
1. Finance. 2. Ordinance. 3. Sewer. 4. Street. 5. Sidewalks. 6. Fire Department. 7. Water. 8. Police. 9. Lighting.
10. License. 11. Bonds. 12. Parks. 13. Poor. Rule 30. In the last line after
" o f insert " two thirds of". Strike out "elect of the council" and insert "present".
Rule 21. Strike out all after "month . "
Rule 24. Strike out "Waple's Handbook of Parliamentary Practice" and insert "Robert 's Rules of Order."
And your committee recommend the reprinting of the rules in pamphlet form.

Aid. Prettyman moved that the re port of the committee be adopted as a whole.
Aid. Taylor offered an amendment to Rule 1 so as to read "a t 7:30 p. m. standard time between April and Sep
tember and 7 :30 p. m, local time between September and Apri l" after the word "mon th" in line 8. Adopted.
Aid. Prettyman offered an amendment to Rule 18 so as to read "The question shall be, shall the recommendation of the committee be adop ted by the council? Adopted.
The report of the commttee on rules was adopted as follows:
Yeas—Aid. Maynard, Allniendinger, Koch, Snyder, Laubengayer, Brown, Ferguson Taylor Shadford Prettyman Coon Butterfield, Cady, President Hiscock—14.
Nays—None. By Aid. Taylor: Resolved that the salaries of city offi
cers be fixed for the ensuing year as follows: city clerk |800 per year, city attorney, |300 per year; city marshal, | 65 per month; patrolmen, $50 per month; city treasurer, $100 per year; health ofificer, $150 per year; inspector of board of health, $100 per year; remaining member of the board of health, | 50 per year.

Nays—None. Aid. Prettyman moved that when the

my mind how the resolution passed by your honorable body, at your session of April 15th, 1895, authorizing me to offer a reward of one hundred dollars to the person furnishing evidence that shall lead to the arrest and conviction of any one guilty of wilfully and maliciously administering poison to any dog or exposing any poisonous substance, with intent that the same shall be taken or
