The ESA Coulochem® III detector is the standard inhigh sensitivity electrochemical detection. With its modular
design, the Coulochem III platform can be used with anyHPLC system. All new electronics with the latest in digitaltechnology guarantees the lowest detection limits possible.
The Coulochem III incorporates DC and Pulse/Scan modesin discreet modules. By optimizing the detector for the low
signal in DC, the detector achieves the highest possiblesensitivity from capillary to normal bore chromatography.
Pulse mode supports variable timing of potentials and durationof waveforms to optimize the application. Scan mode helps

For DC mode, each Coulochem III detector comes withtwo analytical channels and an additional channel, uniqueto ESA, for mobile phase cleaning or sample pretreatment.
In Pulse mode, you can select potential and duration of up to4 segments to give the ultimate in stability and reproducibility.
Operate switching valves or signal for external events, change gainranges or potentials with Time Line or shut off cells at the end
of a run. All this stored as one of 25 methods for easy recall.
All standard ESA cell designs can be used with theCoulochem III detector platform. Expanded gain ranges make itready for any cell type. Enhanced processor speed provides dataacquisition fully compatible with today’s faster chromatography.

with amperometric electrodes to sophisticatedsample manipulation with Coulometric cells,
ESA offers the flexibility to save time andeffort in optimizing analytical conditions.All ESA cells come standard with a solid
state, maintenance free reference electrodeknown world wide for its reliability.
PRE-ANALYTICAL CELLS – The highconversion efficiency of the coulometric
electrode when used before the analytical cellprovides an additional level of selectivity.
When placed before the injector, mobile phasecan be electrochemically cleaned for lowerbackground and enhanced performance.
SPECIALTY CELLS – Some applicationshave unique requirements. The 5014B and
5041 cells are specifically designed and testedfor the demands of microdialysis in
neuroscience where extreme sensitivity isrequired and high sample salt content is
encountered.
SYNTHESIS CELLS – Electrochemicaloxidation can be used to produce drugmetabolites in quantities suitable for
MS, NMR and biological studies.
COULOMETRIC CELLS – There is noelectrochemical cell more sensitive or reliable. Period.
Proven in thousands of laboratories worldwide, theflow-through design with high surface area and
minimized diffusion distance provides 100% analyteconversion and the highest signal possible. Each cellhas two working electrodes for maximum analytical
