COUGAR CHRONICLE # ITTAKESACOMMUNITY FEBRUARY 15, 2019 From The Desk of Your Principal Dear Students, Parents, Guardians and Community Members, Happy Valentine’s Day and Happy President’s Day! It was a busy week for sure at Ruch Outdoor Community School! Great things are happening. Ms. Neiswanger’s first and second graders paid a visit to the residents of Pioneer Village in Jacksonville on Valentine’s Day and delivered lots of valentines and happiness! Our girls’ basketball team is proving amazing and we are very grateful for parent, Joseph Hatcher, for volunteering his time, energy and effort to coach. Thank you! Our fundraising efforts did not go unnoticed this week. Channel 5 and Whit Parker from the Jacksonville Review were present at Ruch Country Store to document all the monies being counted by store owners, Craig and Amber Hamm, and students and staff from school. The Hamms have always demonstrated that when the community works directly with their school and shows support in many ways, the benefits to the students are massive but it also strengthens the community at large. Thank you Craig and Amber! Enjoy your weekend and be careful when traveling on the snowy roads.
