Cotton dust particulates vary in size from particles that are visible to the naked eye to those that are nearly invisible. The design of the vertical elutriator ensure that only particles with settling velocities less than the velocity of the airstream (7.4 LPM) will be carried up to the filter. The cotton dust sampler must be suspended vertically near the breathing zone, it can be mounted directly to a post or using the optional tripod stand.
