Seller Insight In terms of the exterior of the building, we wanted to emulate the architecture of a fine country manor, more

specifically that of Haddon Hall, which we visited on numerous occasion when looking for inspiration. So we included several details such as the beautiful hand-made stone mullioned windows with leaded glass, handmade window sills and even the roof had to be pitched at a specific angle. Inside I personally did all of the joinery work and sourced the finest English pippy oak for the wood panelling and staircase, I made all of the doors and window frames by hand, I’ve added ornate coving and deep skirting and the acoustics of the house as a whole were also very important so all of the floors are solid concrete to ensure that there’s no transference of noise from room to room. It’s without doubt a very imposing house, but it’s been designed with family life and comfort in mind so it’s also very luxurious throughout and incorporates all of the mod cons necessary for modern life. It’s just stunning, and in the past few months practically the whole house has been redecorated and a number of the bathrooms have been refurbished so it’s ready for the new owners to simply move in and enjoy.” “The house sits in three acres of grounds at present including the paddocks, and we also have a beautiful garden that wraps right the way around the house,” continues the owners. “It incorporates open lawns, a pretty rose garden and a large decked terrace and we even have a heated outdoor toilet. In total, there is just under eleven acres of land, almost ten of which is pastureland and we are happy to sell some additional land if any future buyers want more. There’s also a gorgeous breeze house, which is lovely for entertaining and we’ve had a swim spa installed, again for sale by negotiation. The elegant drawing room is probably the most impressive room, but the orangery, which is currently used as a dining room, is definitely a favourite” says the owner. “It overlooks the pool and the breeze house, and there is nothing better than sitting in there with a cup of coffee and quietly watching the sun come up.”
