Difficulties

• The biggest difficulty that we faced was that we had no budget to spend. If we were to have the money to buy conventionally horror like costumes then our trailer could have looked more professional.

How did we overcome this?

We overcome these difficulties by coming up with original ideas, that we would use with an ultimate budget and then thinking of how we could make these without a budget.

Changes

Why?

We originally wanted to use freaky animal masks, reminiscient of those used in the film “The Wicker Man”, by members of the cult. However, it seemed that these were over £30 each and we needed around 4.

How?

For our masks, instead we decided to use white masks. We found some in Home Bargains for a couple of pounds each and thought that they too created the unknown effect that we wanted to create. However, for the first scenes, Constance wore a pillow case as a mask. This links Lauren’s ancilliarypiece allowing cross media promotion.

What worked well?

• The costume decisions that worked well was the styling of Katie. We decided to dress her in a long skirt and cardigan making her look old, reminiscent of the village “living in the past”.

• I also feel that we stuck to rules of continuity with Sam Baker by making sure that Adam was constantly styled the same. This had to be portrayed as Baker would not get changed throughout the film.
