The Navarino Sea by Aqua Divers Club, is a PADI 5* Dive Resort, organizing daily snorkeling and diving trips to a nearby Isles. Enjoy Messenia’s clear blue waters and discover underwater secrets whilst scuba diving or snorkeling in an area once frequented by notorious pirates such as “Katoulias of Proti Island”. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFcxOTnfIes The marine life of the Ionian Sea includes occasional sightings of sea turtle, tuna fish or sting ray. All activities start and finish from the Dive Centre located within the hotel. The operating hours are 09.30 – 20.30 on a daily basis from March to October. Groups from 4 to 9 persons are permitted participate at snorkeling and scuba diving tours. The morning trip starts at 09.30 and returns 13.30, also the second trip starts at 14.30 and returns at 18.30. Dive Sites The Anchor A wall dive with a deep drop to over 40 meters where full of Mediterranean life is (white Sea Bream, Whitebait, Moray eels, groupers, amberjacks). Rocks Valley A wall dive where you can swim along paths and canyons caused by large Stalactite’s Cave You can cruise yourself through small caves with the real deep blue of the Ionian Sea. Coming up to the surface you can remove your mask and gaze at the amazing stalactites. Katoulias Cave From Pirate Katoulias’ Lair you can follow the rock formation leading down to Katoulias’ reef. Seal’s Cave Nice shallow dive with maximum depth of 20 meters. The wall is full of small colorful caves. The dive leads at Seal’s Cave with its turquoise waters and there are chances to see Caretta-Caretta turtles. Sea Water Temperatures in Celsius degrees – March to November Period. The Dunes Course Designed by former US Masters champion and Ryder Cup Captain Bernhard Langer in association with European Golf Design. The par-72 seaside Dunes Course plays at 6,177 meters and ventures into olive groves, along a small river, whilst links-style features add to its unique playability. Golfers of all levels can benefit from multi-lingual coaching with experienced Head PGA Professional who will also help beginners take their first steps. The Bay Course It plays a little shorter than the Dunes Course at 5,760metres from the back tees. The par 71 course places a slightly greater emphasis on strategic play and positional golf. The Seaside, Canyon, and Grove holes will provide striking contrasts that create a dramatic and memorable golf round. The course will play to a par of 71 from a variety of lengths designed to test the golfing skills of amateurs and pros alike. The surroundings of Navarino Dunes is full of provincial roads with small traffic, gravel roads with no traffic, paths, hilly routes, asphalt routes, seaside routes and mountain routes. Messinia is an ideal location for cycling and mountain bike leisure enthusiasts and cycling athletes / clubs. Outdoors Center is open daily 09.00-17.00 and is walking distance from rooms. The Outdoors Center also serves as an information hub, a place where advice about biking equipment is freely offered, along with tips and recommendations about self-guided tours with GPS devices and tour maps.
