Most Improved Golfer
The Cosmos most improved golfer for the first 4 months of this year is Mr. Frank Eldridge.
He has reduced his index by a full 2 index points from a 26.2 to 24.2.
Number of rounds posted
Our club has posted 479 rounds from January 1 to April 19th. That’s an average of 119
rounds per month. The top 3 posting members are Bobby Smith with 37 rounds, James Brown with 31, and
Michael Daniel with 28. Let’s give them a hand!

As you should all know the integrity of our club is based on the posting of scores of each and every member. The GHIN system is a peer-to-peer public record. That means that your golf buddy's can look up your golf scores. The system is easy to
use, you can post scores at the golf course or online (GHIN.com).
So post your scores (low or high, good or bad) so lets all of us do our part and post those scores.

Let me first say how much I appreciate the effort by everyone in our 2016 membership drive. It's a team effort. Our "Lucky Discount Promo" was not a success, but we did not have enough members referring in order to met the rules qualifier. Continue to buy into these promotions that are designed to help the Cosmos membership. As I explained to the board members on Wednesday night, we'll run another
promotion through the end of the year. It is the CTNMA Promo. We just need ten (10) members to refer at least two (2) new members each and we will recognize each of you at our Awards Banquet in
December. This is a team that I can count on to help us reach 100 members in 2016. Our goal is to be the largest and best club in WSGA. By the way, the CTNMA is COMMITMENT TO NEW MEMBERS AWARD.
Put on your thinking caps and come up with new ways to attract those quality individuals to our club. Call me
and brainstorm your ideas if you feel the need to do so. The year is still young so time is not of the essence. We will also reduce the membership dues to $70 starting in July. Lets make it happen. Let that
green and white cosmos pride shine through.

How to post your scores
The posting of scores is really a simple procedure. Go to www.ghin.com and pull up the USGA GHIN page
It takes you directly to the posting page, put in your GHIN number and last name. It will take you directly to the posting page. Fill in the boxes with your info.
Now when you get to the ESC (equitable stroke control) box click on the Question mark icon. If you’re not familiar with ESC, it’s a system that represents a players’ potential ability of play.
When you click on the “?” it will explain the system. Quick fast and simple!!!

2016 CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
1. Prior to August 2016, you must have participated in a minimum of three (3) monthly club tournaments (the 2016 Cosmo Annual Tournament counts as two (2) tournaments)
2. Prior to the start of the 2016 Championship competition, you must not have any outstanding financial obligations to the club.
3. Prior to the start of the 2016 Championship competition, you must pay the $10 entry fee.
The 2016 Cosmopolitan Golf Club Low Gross & Low Net Champions will receive a
paid entry into the WSGA 62nd Annual Championship that will be held in a TBD
location during June 2017.
All members excluding associates are eligible to compete in the Cosmos’ 2016 Championship competition. Each flight
will have a Low Gross & a Low Net Winner. The overall Low Gross & Low Net Winners will become the 2016 Club
Champions
1. The 2016 Championship competition is comprised of the Arrowood, TBD, Westridge & TBD tournaments.
2. Play in a minimum of 3 of the 4 competition tournaments.
3. Each participant’s three (3) lowest low net scores for the tournaments are used to determine the final standings.
