This regulation was fully implemented in July 2013 and makes many changes to the previous Cosmetics Directive 76/786/EEC, fully implemented in July 2013, with background on what has changed from the old cosmetics directive. There are a number of aspects of the Regulation that are under review and the course tutors will endeavour to give the latest industry opinion where appropriate. Suitability Anyone involved in the development, manufacture and sale of cosmetic products will find this course of great benefit. Learning Outcomes By the end of the course you will: Understand ‘borderline’ products, the definition of a cosmetic and how to differentiate cosmetics from medicinal and biocidal products Fully appreciate the legislation and guidelines involving cosmetics products (including ISO 22716) Be able to check if and how ingredients are regulated Have an awareness of product information file requirements Understand claim substantiation and product labelling Know how compliance can be enforced The course includes a range of exercises and practical activities to demonstrate topics and test delegates’ knowledge. This will mean that you can take the information you learn on the course back in to the workplace.
