RELIGIOUS EDUCATION REGISTRATION

Classes began on September 17th, but registration is on-going throughout the year. Parents may bring their children to the Parish Center for the next scheduled class and register at that time. For general information regarding the program you may visit our parish website www.corpuschristiparish.org. Printed materials are available at the ramp entrance to the Church and at the parish office.

OCTOBER CLASS SCHEDULE Classes for Kindergarten through grade 8 meet at the Parish Center from 10:15am- 11:45am on Sundays as scheduled: October 1, 15, and 22. There will be NO CLASSES on the 8th or 29th. Classes for High School Confirmation begin on Sunday October 1st and October 15th will meet twice a month through March. The first class will meet at the Parish Center.

Next week, we will celebrate World Mission Sunday. Each year, the entire Church is invited to support the young mission dioceses in Africa, Asia, the Pacific Islands, and parts of Latin America and Europe, where priests, religious and lay leaders serve the poorest of the poor. This year, we are invited to “Chat With The Pope” to learn more about his missions. RELIGIOUS EDUCATION HELP WANTED Have you been searching for a way to get involved with the parish community? Do you enjoy working with children and want to share your faith? Perhaps the Religious Education program is what you would enjoy. In order to meet the needs of individual children, we could use some extra volunteers…catechists, aides, helpers. We have a few children who will be preparing for baptism. Others who are older will need special attention for First Communion preparation. You would be working with only a few children at a time. Help would also be appreciated in the early morning (before the nine o’clock Mass) to help set up and /or at the end of class to help clean up. Perhaps you are good with a computer and would like to help with some office work during class time. Call Mary Crow at 978-504-9308 and we will discuss how you can best share your gifts and talents.

AN OPPORTUNTITY FOR GROWTH

In the weeks ahead, you will be reading and hearing more about a new program taking place in our parish. The program, the Increased Offertory Campaign, is an opportunity for all of us to address the most pressing needs in our parish through this increased giving campaign. Our hope is to increase our weekly collection by at least 20%.

Currently our weekly collection is $4,943. To address our needs, we need to increase our income to $5,931.

Each week, this space in the Corpus Christi Parish bulletin will be devoted to reminders and important announcements concerning the Increased Offertory Campaign. Please be on the lookout for more information about this exciting opportunity.

Seventeenth Annual Project Warm & Fuzzy

Ashley Bolis, a resident of the Merrimack

Valley and Corpus Christi parishioner is

continuing a project which she started as a

student at St. Monica’s Grammar School.

The project is called “Warm & Fuzzy.

Beginning Saturday, October 7th through November

19th (the Sunday before Thanksgiving) there will be a

box at the handicap entrance of the Church where you

may drop off new hats, mittens, gloves, scarves and

socks (for children, babies and adults). You may also

drop off your donations at the rectory. These articles

will be distributed to the needy during the winter

months. Any help you can give Ashley with her project

will be greatly appreciated.

En las próximas semanas, anunciaremos más sobre un nuevo programa que tendrá lugar en nuestra parroquia. El programa, la Campaña para Aumentar Ofrendas, nos presenta una oportunidad a todos nosotros para hacer frente a las necesidades más urgentes de nuestra parroquia. Nuestra esperanza es aumentar nuestras colecciones semanales por lo menos 20%. Actualmente el promedio de colección semanal es $4,943.
