Corpus Christi Mission Statement We, the Catholic Community of Corpus Christi, are called to continue the work and teachings set forth by Jesus Christ.
We are committed: • To make the Eucharist the center of our lives by celebrating it
joyfully and meaningfully as a community, • To grow as an involved and loving community, • To preserve church and family traditions, • To provide a Catholic education and opportunities for spiritual
growth to all age groups, • To reach out to those in need.
As a parish, we dedicate ourselves to live out our faith through service where each member shares with others the gifts and talents received from God.

Father Paul will resume visiting and blessing homes. We invite you to adopt this custom in your family. The family gathers to ask God’s blessing on their home and on those who live in or visit the home. It is an invitation for Jesus to be a daily guest in our home, our comings and goings, our conversations, our work and play, our joys and sorrows. Please contact the Parish Office if you are interested in having Father Paul visit your home. There are also sign up sheets in the back of church.

CATHOLIC SHARING APPEAL PRAYER God Our Father, Every good and perfect gift comes from You. For Your Son, Jesus Christ, thank You. For our very life, thank You. For our family and friends, thank You. For Your Church, thank You. For Your abundant grace available in the Sacraments, thank You. For all those small gifts of Your love that give us HOPE each day, thank You. Increase in us an awareness of Your abiding presence in our lives. May our every thought and deed be an act of thanksgiving for Your generosity and care for us. Give us grateful Hearts, so that we may respond to Jesus’ call to love God and neighbor. May our commitment to the Catholic Sharing Appeal continue to serve the poor and vulnerable through community Outreach, increase our Parish life and participation, and aid in bringing the Gospel of Christ to the communities of West Virginia through Evangelization. Amen

The Third Sunday of Easter A Family Perspective by Bud Ozar
Jesus invited the disciples to “Come and have breakfast.” At this beach breakfast and the Last Supper Jesus teaches us meals should be more than eating. Family meals are opportunities to share prayer,
listen to each other’s stories, understand and support one another.
Give a gift that will be matched dollar for dollar on Tuesday, May 7, 2019! Corpus Christi School is participating in the One Mission. One Day....Can Make a Difference, a 24-hour giving challenge on this day. The One Mission. One Day…Can make a difference is a giving challenge where the parochial schools are coming together to raise money. Corpus Christi School has a generous matching gift pledge, so each gift has double the impact. The first $2,500 we raise will be matched dollar for dollar by an anonymous donor. Once we reach our goal of $2,500, that donor will offer a second match of up to $5,000 total in matching funds. We have the chance to raise up to $10,000 in 24 hours. One Mission. One Day....Can Make a Difference funds will go toward our CCS General Fund. Our general fund supports operating costs, school maintenance, and school improvements. We can’t wait to celebrate the difference your generosity will make on May 7! Please help us reach our goal of at least $5,000 in 24 hours! Every dollar you donate to Corpus Christi School ensures our students, success for the future!
