Corporate policy

• All corporate organizations need to form policies for their own drivers and vehicles– This requires driver training, monitoring, supervision

of vehicles, replacement of old vehicles– Corporate fleets, cars and other vehicles all need to

enforce seatbelts– All company motor-cycle drivers should be wearing

helmets– All employees need to be give child seats for their

vehicles– All employees need to told to avoid using mobile

phones while driving– Drug and eye testing for fleet operators

Grassroots initiatives

• Engage with the local community in the areas that they operate

• Enforcement of standards with direct stakeholders and all businesses and contractors

• Fund education programs in print and electronic media– Circulate the concept of “right of

way”

• All terminal operators and shipping companies need to have responsibility to safe transport via containers
