In 2017, we celebrated our twentieth year since the company

was founded in 1997. In a marketplace saturated with

expensive and clumsy groupware, we arrived with

easy-to-use and affordable web-based groupware, which is

why we received a warm welcome. It’s no wonder that today,

there are over six million people that love using Cybozu

products. The continued growth we saw since our

incorporation took us to the first section of the Tokyo Stock

Exchange in just nine years. Having become a leader in Japan,

Cybozu is now aiming to do the same internationally,

expanding sales to global markets like Asia and the USA and

internationalising product development. Furthermore, we are

expanding our expertise in the field of online cloud computing

services, by developing and offering new groupware that goes

beyond conventional products and brings solutions

specifically designed for smartphones or tablets.

Since our incorporation our goal has consistently been user

friendliness. At Cybozu, our mission is to continue to grow as

an IT firm and work together to enable even more people

worldwide to collaborate in great teamwork. We hope you’ll

Born in Ehime prefecture in 1971. After

graduating from Osaka University's

Graduate School of Engineering, in the

Division of Information Systems Science,

he worked for Panasonic (formerly called

Matsushita Electric Industrial) until in 1997,

he set up Cybozu in Matsuyama, Ehime

prefecture.

In April 2005, he assumed the position of

CEO. As a father of three, he takes an

active role in the upbringing of his children.

The company name is a marriage of the words 'cyber', as in relating to computers, and 'bozu', which is

an affectionate way to describe a child in Japanese.

The name also contains the idea that young people hold the key to the future of cyber companies.
