A NOTE TO PROSPECTIVE RECRUITERSDear GAIN 2016 Recruiter:

The Graduate Engineering Council (GEC) is excited to invite you to join us in a day of networking with motivated graduate students of the Cockrell School of Engineering. GEC will host the Graduate and Industry Networking (GAIN) on February 2, 2016.

GAIN is a student-led event tailored to facilitate the communication between graduate students and potential employers. In the first part of our program, selected graduate students will present their research during a poster session. This allows you the opportunity to explore the cutting-edge research conducted on a daily basis at our university. Following the poster session, you can further your conversation with interested graduate students during our relaxed networking hour. This part of our program allows you to form stronger relationships with students who are well aligned with your interests. Our day concludes with a banquet and awards given to the outstanding posters of the day.

GAIN is the premier graduate engineering recruiting event at our school, and we are delighted to extend an invitation to you. As a participant, you will have access to some of the top Texas graduate engineering students. We have enclosed the GAIN schedule as well as the various support levels available and benefits.

Speaker selected among candidates from the Burnt Orange and Platinum GAIN Partners will address the attendees on proposed topic.

Speaker selected among candidates from the Burnt Orange and Platinum GAIN Partners will address the attendees on proposed topic.

The activities will be concluded with a top-quality banquet in which GAIN Partners will be designated tables according to their Partnership Level, and students will have an opportunity to share a meal with representatives of GAIN’s Partners. Following the banquet, awards will be presented to the highest scoring research posters as evaluated both by GAIN Partners and UT Faculty during the previous poster session.

Graduate Students will present their research to the judges and attendees of GAIN. Judges will be comprised of both GAIN Partners from Burnt Orange, Platinum, Gold, and Silver Levels, and esteemed University of Texas Faculty. Judges will determine the research work worthy of recognition in the Award Ceremony.

Graduate Students will report to GAIN’s Organizing Committee. GAIN Organizing Committee will address all attendees and welcome them to the event.

GAIN Partners corresponding to Burnt Orange, Platinum, Gold, and Silver Levels will be provided with stations for students and representatives to exchange information and interests. Students will have an opportunity to reach out to prospective employers that fit their research and career interests. Employers will meet UT’s most talented graduate students.
