Message from HODCentre for Skill Development
At Asian Business School, a variety of efforts have been put in by
professionals in various elds to design courses that will help develop positive aspects in personality. The aim of such courses is to remove or screen out those barriers or obstructions that stand in the way of the expression of individual
personality, through a process of training.
Centre for Skill Development is working with the objective of imparting practical training so as to translate the known knowledge into the desired skill set.
As we at Asian Business School strongly believe that a blend of relevant knowledge, skill and right attitude is essential for the overall development of students which determines their growth and success in the corporate world, CSD aims at developing conceptual and practical skills to convert abilities of students into managerial competence, required in today's competitive environment. CSD is committed to bring about behavioral change for attitude transformation; thereby developing assets for the corporate world.
To increase the relevance with future employment market, including promotion of self employment, a two pronged initiative - Soft skills and Employability skills is made an integral part of skill development.
Aligning with the thought process that builds our curriculum design, and by recognizing the multifaceted inuence of personality on employability effectiveness, the students are introduced to a customized mentorship program, called the “Crafting Prodigy Programme” from CSD, which is a unique and unparalleled step mapping their individual journey towards development of skills, stipulated by the Corporates.
The rationale behind CSD, is to acquaint every student with the importance given at ABS, to knowing and nurturing each one of them, and emphasizing on identifying and developing individual learning and development needs, covering various behavioral & communication aspects.
