converted into private company in 2017 from a

close corporation called M B H M Engineering &

IT Services.

GPWG Engineering is a multi-disciplinary

Engineering Company with interests in

Contracting activities (Civil, Electrical,

Instrumentation, Solar and Mechanical) in the

Mining, Power generation, Water Supply and

Municipal Sections. GPWG Engineering

subsequently opened various other branches

with aim of empowering women in Rustenburg,

Limpopo and Mpumalanga.

GPWG Engineering is made up of experienced

and dedicated team of experts. We pride

ourselves in supplying cost effective and detailed

solutions in all our disciplines. We have

developed a culture of its own and enduring a set

of values that creates a comfortable working

environment and is central to our vision. Our

unique approach and work ethics developed has

Skills DevelopmentWe actively encourage growth and development in

all our staff and view skills development and capacity

building as a critical component of our business. In addition

to on the job training and close mentorship, we find short

training courses as well as college diplomas for any of our staff

interested in further studies and personal development – the total

amount budgeted in each financial year is 5% of our total salary bill.

Areas for training and development include Welding, Boiler making, Pipe

Fitting, Electrical, Instrumentation, Fitting and turning, Fabrication,

Safety, Quality and any befitting engineering related

advancement/training programs.

System. Our objective is to attain an

ISO3834 certification and ISO9000.

environmental management system that is reviewed and

updated regularly

• Demonstrating safety and environmental conscious

leadership and commitment at all levels of our organization

by engaging and involving our employees and contractors

• Maintaining a work environment where hazards are

identified and controlled and informing affected parties of

significant risks and measures taken to mitigate these

hazards and risks

• Providing and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace,

eliminating workplace related fatalities, injuries and disease

• Providing a framework for setting and reviewing safety and

environmental objectives and targets to continually reduce

work-related injury, illness and pollution.

work safely (in relation to our activities)

obligations and other requirements to which GPWG

subscribe as a minimum requirement

• Ensuring all incidents and near misses are reported,

recorded and investigated and appropriate measures are

taken to control hazards

• Implementing regular health surveillance and risk based

monitoring of employees.

conservation, pollution prevention, minimizing waste,

recycling materials, safe and responsible disposal of waste

and effluent, and minimizing where practicable

environmentally damaging emissions.
