China, or were identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

(CDC) as a part of a airline/ship contact investigation

Coronavirus: summary of persons being monitored, persons under

    investigation, and cases

Data in this report are provisional and subject to change.

Persons tested: includes test results received by the Department of Health

from the state public health laboratory (BPHL), as well as commercial and

during their illness. It does not reflect the number of people currently

    hospitalized.

  • Coronavirus: cases and laboratory testing over timeData verified as of May 22, 2020 at 10 AM

Data in this report are provisional and subject to change.

Number of people tested per day

Number and percent of positive labs

    Percent positivity for new cases

This percent is the number of people who test positive for the first time divided by all the people tested that day, excluding people

    who have previously tested positive.

The percent of positive results ranged from 1% to 7% over the past 2 weeks and was 3% yesterday.

These counts include the number of people for whom the department received laboratory results by day. People tested on

multiple days will be included for each day a new result was received. A person is only counted once for each day they are tested,

regardless of whether multiple specimens are tested or multiple results are received. If a person has a positive specimen and a

negative specimen in the same day, only the positive result is counted.

Cases confirmed in Florida residents per day for the past 2 weeks

Laboratory testing for Florida residents and non-Florida residents over the past 2 weeks

The percent of positive results ranged from 1% to 10% over the past 2 weeks and was 5% yesterday.

These counts include the number of people for whom the department received laboratory results by day. People tested on

multiple days will be included for each day a new result was received. A person is only counted once for each day they are tested,

regardless of whether multiple specimens are tested or multiple results are received.
