The Word of God is our absolute foundation for life 4 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge:

2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. 3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Russian church disappears, brick by brick

A church in rural Russia appears to have been stolen, brick by brick.

The Church of Christ's Resurrection had stood near the village of Komarovo in central Russia since 1809.

Now, as shown in a photo on the local diocese website, all that remains is a couple of walls.

The diocese says the church - which is in an isolated area and not regularly used for services any more - has been vanishing brick by brick since early October.

The website indicates an investigation is under way to find out who has been stealing the church, and it adds that this sort of thing isn't normal in the 21st century.
