(Introduction)

Start the paper with a short introduction to the subject you are writing about. Formatting for

the entire body of the paper is Times New Roman font in 12 point; double-spaced; aligned flush

left; and paragraphs indented with 5-7 spaces (Toston, 2014). Attention Getter (i.e. quote,

statistic, fact, question, etc. about your topic). This is something that pulls the reader in and gets

them interested in reading more about your topic.

b. Why might the reader be interested in your topic? Why is your topic important to the

reader?

c. What is some general information the reader should know about your topic?

i. The introduction provides the reader with at least 8 key terms

related to the topic of study.

clearly summarized in the student’s own words.
