Patient a 43 year old women with a history of kidney stones was seen at the urologist office complaining of nausea, temperature 103.0 and extreme lower right flack pain radiating to the lower back. Doctor sent patient to get x-rays .Determined that the patient had a stone and severe scar tissue wrapped around the ureter and the kidney.Upon the doctor earlier examination of previous kidney infections and multiple laser lithotripsy, the patientWas sent to a specialist who handles the Da Vinci robot.

The specialist who performed the surgery he had made 3 incisions, cut 1 inch of the ureter out because of constriction due to scar tissue on the ureter, placed a stent and a drainage bag to make sure that the kidney was draining properly. Discharge after 2 days in hospital. 1 week follow up X-rays performed Stent placement for 2 months

The picture shows the ureter going into the kidney. Where scar tissue can form and cause Blockage from the passing of urine in most cases where infection and kidney stonesCan either cause permeant damage if not treated .
