Introduction

The current edition of the COPLAC Data Profile has been revised to incorporate feedback from

Institutional Researchers after the June 2014 COPLAC meeting in an effort to provide more current

data for information based decision making. We would like to thank J. Lynn Boyce and Elizabeth

Clune-Kneuer, past COPLAC Data Profile Coordinators, and Bill Spellman, Director of COPLAC, for

their assistance in the revision processes and metrics.

There are nine sections to this report which consist of the following: Admissions, Enrollment, FTE &

Student to Faculty Ratio, Degrees, Graduation & Retention Rates, Faculty Salary & Compensation,

Endowment, Tuition & Fees, and Financial Aid. Additionally, there is a data dictionary that notes the

source and timeframe of these data. Whenever possible, the intent has been to use routinely collected

or reported data for consistency and efficiency.

This report was made possible through the hard work and patience of the Institutional Researchers at

the COPLAC institutions. As this is the first year of the revised data collection, the processes and

metrics will be reviewed for continual improvement of the Data Profile.

Data compiled by:

Camille Shepherd

Assessment Specialist

Midwestern State University

Dear COPLAC IR Colleagues:

I wish to thank everyone for their contributions over the past year. Elizabeth Clune-Kneuer (St. Mary’s

College of Maryland) began the transition to a revised Data Profile format during 2013-1014, and Camille

Shepherd (Midwestern State University) kindly agreed to serve as the new Coordinator when Elizabeth

accepted a career opportunity with the Maryland community college system.. As always, thank to every

campus IR leader for questions, suggestions and timely submission of materials. The Annual Data Profile

would not be possible without the volunteer efforts of everyone involved.

Sincerely,

Bill Spellman

COPLAC Director
