Alastair D. Jenkins
participated successfully in the CARBOOCEAN summer school:
“Modelling the marine carbon cycle from small to global scale”
held at the University of Bergen
(Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research, Geophysical Institute, and Bergen Centre for Computational Science)
during 18-25 June 2006.
The school included a series of lectures on carbon cycle modelling and exercises on the Linux computers. Teachers were internationally acknowledged experts on marine carbon cycle science out of the CARBOOCEAN consortium.
The school was part of the training programme of CARBOOCEAN.
CARBOOCEAN is the FP6 EU Integrated Project “Marine carbon sources and sinks assessment” funded by the European Commission under contract no.
511176 (GOCE).
