CONTRACTRECORD M102• Scope: provide all technical support

associated with the delivery of various hull sections from around the UK into Rosyth.

UB14 is the aft superstructure island of the QEC. It is the flight deck control tower. It can also operate as the ships navigation bridge in the event of the actual bridge being damaged. UB14 has an irregular shape and extends 27.00 meters above flight deck.

Our technical scope covered all aspects of the move including:

• Operation manuals, transportation method statements, operational storyboards and risk assessments for port arrivals, departures, load out and load in operation, sea towage, sea fastening steelwork in-stallation and removal

• Sea fastening design and procurement• Transportation cradle verification for

weighing, load out/in operation as well as sea transportation

• Barge Hull Strength verification for load out/in operation as well as sea towage

• Tidal load out ballasting, sea going stability and non tidal load in ballasting verification

• Mooring studies during load out and load in operations as well as layby berthing on barge
