Drumlough Pipe Band Sun 24 July The Patron of Drumlough Pipe band in its formative years was Harry Ferguson (The inventor of the Massey Ferguson Tractor). James Reid was President and Sam Magowan, Member of Parliament and Justice of the Peace, was Chairman, during the formation. Ulster Scots Agency Juvenile Pipe Band Sun 31 July The Ulster-Scots Agency Juvenile Pipe Band was formed in late 2012 from children which were being taught as part of the Ulster-Scots Agency teaching programme. The ethos of the band is to give young people the opportunity to perform with other young pipers and drummers while more experienced players encourage and advise. Lisburn Young Defenders Sun 7 August Since being crowned Irish Melody Flute Champions in 2000, 2001 and 2003 Lisburn Young Defenders Flute Band has been performing at the highest level and diversifying its musical performances accordingly. The Band prides itself in creating a family atmosphere within and draws members from schools, from different areas of Lisburn City. Dynamic Brass Sun 14 August Dynamic Brass is a local band within the City of Lisburn. Musical Director Harold Whan conducts a wide varied programme of entertaining music. The Templemore Band Sun 21 August The Templemore Band was formed in 1949 as The Templemore School Band under the direction of Mr. Alfie Bell. The Band thrived under his leadership and soon successfully competed at Local, European and World championship levels. The band is directed by Mr Jack Burch ALCM, LLCM, LLCM (TD), FLCM. Pantomime Sat 2 July This year Mr Hullabaloo and his friends are celebrating the Queen’s 90th Birthday. Come enter the enchanting world of Mr Hullabaloo the storyteller and his colourful puppet friends for a magical birthday party unlike any other. Throughout the show Mr Hullabaloo and friends will present a selection of well-loved children’s classic tales live on stage. With spectacular sets, costumes, puppetry, music, movement and lots of audience participation. A story shared with us is guaranteed to create magical memories for many years to come.So come along, join the fun and let your story begin!!!

Heroes and Princesses Sat 9 July The whole team will be out in full force in Wallace Park including The Turtles, Spiderman, Batman, Ironman, Captain America, Queen Elsa and Princess Anna. They will be hosting an amazing Hero Academy and thrilling the crowds with performances from Queen Elsa and Princess Anna!!

Teddy Bears Picnic Sat 16 July Come along with your favourite teddy and join in the story told by Mr Hullabaloo and his famous puppets ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’. Bring a picnic, but be careful of a greedy bear stealing your snacks. See Micky and Minnie Mouse at the Kiddies Disco. There will be bouncy castles, teddy bear slide and an opportunity to make your own teddy bear ears and have your face painted too.

Vintage Tea Dance and Sing-along Sat 23 July Relax and enjoy a seat, some tea, buns and a sing-along. Bring your own picnic or enjoy the coffee and refreshments from the kiosk along The Avenue. Valerie Kirkpatrick (Velvet) will be on keyboards singing her vast repertoire of Old Time Tunes. Don’t worry if you don’t know the words as a copy of the song lyrics will be given to you when you arrive. Enjoy the singsong or have a dance with your dance partner. It’s up to you!

Mini Sports Festival Sat 30 July Activities include a Kiddies Sports themed disco (music and games), Boot Camp Challenge Assault course with dual climbing walls and dual slide, orienteering and a BMX demonstration.

Pirates and Princesses Wed 3 AugustInternational Play Day Pirates and Princesses. Mr Hullaballoo is back to help us celebrate ‘National Play Day’ with an exciting story of Pirates and Princesses at the Play Park and you can make pirate hats and tiaras to complete your out� t.

Peter Pan in the Park Sat 6 AugustPeter Pan will be in the Park and up to his usual mischief with his friend Tinker Bell sprinkling her fairy dust everywhere and his adversary Captain Hook. Come and dance at the Kiddies Disco. There will be bouncy castles, mega slide and an opportunity to make your own fairy wand or pirate sword and have your face painted too.

Mini Mela Sat 13 AugustA celebration of world cultures through music, visual arts and dance. The Park will be � lled with the colours and sounds of faraway places featuring live music and dance performers in authentic colorful costumes. Make yourself a global craft from India, China, Poland or Colombia and sample the taste of exotic foods.

Flower and Animal Fun Day Sat 20 AugustPlant a � ower in the � owerbed around the bandstand and you can take a plant home. After you feed the ducks, you can make a � ower or butter� y. Get your face painted too! Visit the Petting Farm, and watch a spectacular display by the ‘Flying Falcons’. If you enter the Dog Agility Demonstration or Fun Dog Show, you will receive a free goody bag, free micro chipping if required and free poo bags. There will be rosettes and prizes to be won too!

JULY Comber Silver Band Sun 3 JulyComber Silver Band is under the capable direction of our conductor, Mr Wesley Thompson. The highlight recently was to play for Her Majesty the Queen at the Royal Garden Party at Hillsborough.

Drumlough Pipe Band Sun 10 JulyDrumlough Pipe Band from just outside Hillsborough was formed in 1950. The band currently competes in Pipe Band Championships organised and run by the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association and has previously won British, Scottish and All Ireland titles in Grade 3B.
