    Executive Summary

    The study was conducted in Sreekandapuram Multispeciality Hospital

    Mavelikara, Alapuzha Dt to know whether their employees are satisfied with the

    present Training and Development programme. It was conducted to identify

    effectiveness of Training and Development programme provided to the employees

    in the organization.

    This study is an attempt to know the process of Training and

    Development programmes conducted by Sreekandapuram Multispeciality Hospital

    Mavelikara and its benefits for the employees.

    A descriptive research was used in this study. The sample size chosen

    was 50 nurses. Convenience sample technique was used to determine the sample.

    The Primary data has been collected from the questionnaire, and secondary data

    has been taken from journals and internet. The information collected was analyzed

    and interpreted using percentage analysis, Likert scale analysis, and charts. The

    findings and suggestions for improvement have been clearly mentioned in this

    project.

    Certain factors affecting Training Development programmes was

    analyzed by the researcher and some valuable suggestions were forwarded to the

    organization to improve the Training and Development programme.

    This study reveals that training plays an important role in every

    organization especially in service sector so, an up-to-date assessment of the

    effectiveness of the Training and Development programme is essential to enhance

    the future development of the organization.
