Dear football teams and friends,

Welcome to BSIT, the oldest tournament organized by v.v. Drienerlo! More than half a year ago we started the organisation of the 34th edition of BSIT (Berno Slotman International Tournament).

It was a half year of hard work, fun and a lot of beers. We hope you will enjoy the tournament as much as we enjoyed preparing it for you. It has been a pleasure to organize this amazing traditional tournament. We are more than happy to welcome so many teams to our beautiful campus in Enschede. A special thanks goes out to the international teams, who travelled a long distance to participate.

In this booklet you will find all necessary information to make your BSIT weekend a success. Please make sure to read all regulations carefully before starting your first match.

The tournament exists out of an 11 vs 11-competition for men with 17 teams (Poules A, B and C) and a 7 vs 7-competition for women with 4 teams (Poule A). Friday we will kick-off with a pizza dinner, a great beer tasting event in the city followed by an after party at Shooters. On Saturday all matches will start, after a decent breakfast and in the evening we have organized an BBQ with lots of fun BSIT games. Afterwards the Champions League Final can be watched in the Sports Centre canteen. On Sunday the most succesfull teams will strive to reach the semi-finals and the most im-portant match of all: the final. The final will feature a grand entrance of both teams and live commentary, followed by a price ceremony to remember.

GENERAL INFORMATION

There will be played according to the official FIFA-rules.

Each team has to provide a linesman during the match. Keep in mind that the referee always makes the final decisions.

Each team should be ready, 5 minutes before the match.

The matches will be played in two halves. The duration of a match is 20 minutes. There will be 5 minutes between each match.

If the referee gives a player a yellow card he will be sent off the field for 5 minutes. A red card means staying off for the remainder of the game.

Serious misconduct will be punished accordingly by the committee. Remember that in the first place the tournament should be fun.

The final result of a poule will be determined by: Points, Mutual result, Goal difference, Number of goals scored.

For quarter finals to the final there will be five penalty kicks taken by each team, when the match ends in a draw. If the winner is not yet determined after these penalties, each team will take penalties one by one untill there is a winner.

Playing times can be changed due to possible extreme weather condi-tions, normal match durations will be announced at Friday night.

Situations in which these regulations do not provide, a decision will be made by the organizing committee.

DOMESTIC RULES

Upon arrival the remainder of the tournament fee has to be paid immediately. If the fee will not be paid fully upon arrival, the particular team will be excluded from the tournament.

Smoking is not allowed in the Sports Centre.

It is not allowed to take bottles or any other glassware out of the Sports Centre.

It is not allowed to take your own drinks into the Sports Centre.

Please do not litter the Sports Centre and the campus area, put your trash in the bins.

Please do not wear football shoes in the Sports Centre.

From 00:00h - 7:30h there must be silence in the Sports Centre, people would like to sleep by then.

The organizing committee and v.v. Drienerlo cannot be held responsible for theft, loss or damage of any personal belongings. Take your valuables with you all the time.

Please do not leave any money or other valuables in the dressing rooms. In the Sports Centre you can rent a locker.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The tournament will be held on the campus of the University of Twente, which is located in Enschede in the Netherlands. The Sports Centre is the main location for the tournament. Here you can find the BSIT committee if you have any questions, meet up with your team in the canteen before going to the fields and have breakfast and lunch. Finding the Sports Centre is quite easy, since it is located next to the international office, the Cruijff building and the library.

Furthermore, the central point where you can always reach one of our committee members, is our v.v. Drienerlo caravan. The caravan is located be-tween the Zidane and Cruijff field (see next page).

The Sports Centre can be found on the map shown below on number 49.

Since the theme of this tournament is: ‘Legends’, as BSIT is a legendary tour-nament, we have named our football fields accordingly. We have renamed every football field to a well-known legendary football player (also, to confuse every v.v. Drienerlo member). FRIDAY 2ND OF JUNE

BEER TASTINGThere is no better way to start of BSIT 2017 than to drink a few (or a lot) of the finest beers! Join us in the City Centre at ‘Café de Beiaard’ at 21:00! For € 10,- you will receive 4 craft beers with a brief explanation. Snacks will be available throughout the night. Afterwards the party continues at Shooters!

SATURDAY 3RD OF JUNE

BREAKFAST AND LUNCHBreakfast and lunch can be found at the Sports Centre canteen during the day. At 8:30 and 12:00 food will be available.

BBQAfter all your matches on the hot saturday this weekend, you must be craving for some food. Join us at the BBQ to enjoy the best meat and beer you have ever tasted! Do not forget to bring your BBQ consumption cards, which your team captain has received upon arrival.

BSIT GAMESAfter the BBQ the BSIT committee will set-up some fun activities for you to join. We will not give away which activities yet... Let it be a pleasant surprise!

BEER COMPETITION

We will count the number of pitchers every team has ordered at the bar. When you order a pitcher, tell the bar personnel your team name and they will keep track of every team’s score. The winning team will receive a prize!

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINALSince we’re all football fans, nobody wants to miss this match. Therefore, the match can be seen on a large beamer in the Sports Centre canteen. Will Real Madrid continue its successful streak or can Juventus take revenge over the 1998 final?

BREAKFAST AND LUNCHBreakfast and lunch can be found at the Sports Centre canteen during the day. At 8:30 and 12:00 food will be available.

FINALThis is the peak of BSIT concerning football. This is where the best of the best will compete. Both finalists will enter the final with a grand entrance. When all nerves have been calmed the match will start with live commentary. Come and cheer the teams to victory at the Cruijff field!

PRICE CEREMONY

After the final, all winners of the football competition and the beer competition will receive their well-deserved awards. Each team will receive a thank you gift at this time, so make sure to show up. This will be the end of the tournament.
