A Message from the Chairperson
It is with great pleasure that we present to you our inaugural Bal
Sahyog newsletter. Bal Sahyog is a reputed voluntary organization
founded by Late Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi. Prime
minister of India is the patron of the organization. The
organization looks after the development needs of children who
are destitute, abandoned, orphan etc. Currently it runs a children
home where about 100 such children looked after.
We write to you now from a Care Home that now includes 100
Children! We are growing leaps and bounds and are grateful to so
many supporters who have joined our cause. We continue to
improve as an organization and the Care Home remains our top
priority as we look for new ways to provide sustainable care and
support to orphan and vulnerable children.
While we thank all of our donors, we especially thank Delhi
Government, central government NDMC, CPWD, MSME, BHEL,
Tech Mahindra Foundation, SAIL, Innova Thinking, Max-India
Foundation, Essel Foundation; they provide us with a generous
grant each year to help keep our doors open to orphaned and
vulnerable children. Private donations can fluctuate, and this
grant has helped maintain our home, the children’s livelihoods, and
more.
Please keep in touch with us if you have stories to share or
comments to voice.

All the children at Bal Sahyog have passed their examinations with flying colors
& have been promoted to the next class. We aim at helping the children grow
in such a way that they achieve their dreams.
We have a few students who have scored very good marks. Raja stood first with
82.3%, Son Pal second with 82.2% & Trilochan third with 81% among the children of
Care Home.
Bal Sahyog is running 7 contact centres at Delhi.
The following are the centres: Kotla, Paharganj,
Inderpuri, Nangloi, Naharpur, Rithala & Wazirpur.
They provide different vocational training courses
like Beauty Culture, Cutting & Tailoring, Dress
Designing etc. to the unprivileged women in the
nearby community. This promotes them with
efficient skills which help them generate income.
They also provide with non-formal education to the
children of the community who do not get an
opportunity to receive formal education.
Every child has a right to be with its family. We aim at
restoring the children back to their families who got
separated due to unfortunate circumstances. The reunion of
every child with his family is a memorable event as the
child cannot stop smiling & the parents cannot resist crying.
On seeing the reunion we feel proud of ourselves as we
achieve our goal of reuniting the family.
The number of children restored back to their families in
the past 6 months is a total of 14 children.
Enthusiastic Beginners!
