In this presentation I am going to show how you share contents

Of a USB mass storage device such as Memory stick amongst

    The users behind Thomson Modem.

This home networking application is possible only for those

Thomson Modems which have Master USB Port and Contentsharing

    Feature implemented into them.

    For example TG782, TG782T, TG787, TG797n are the examples

Of Thomson Modems which have this feature. If you are lucky to

Have such a modem do use this feature. See How it works!

So basically all you have done is you have executed single command which is:contentsharing cifs config state=enabled workgroup=mygroup name=mynameWhen you become expert in CLI you can do this quickly by entering above command. But in the beginning I would recommend you to use menu mode until you getFamiliar with CLI. At any moment you can always quit any stage by pressingCTRL + g if you do not know the correct answer for any parameter setting.

That completes the exercise of content sharing. All the users on Ethernet LANAs well as Wireless LAN should be able to share this contents. Read them,Modify them. Print them.

In a separate Presentation on Printer sharing I will show you how you can

    Share Printer amongst the users.

Well Printer sharing is possible. But it is bit slow. Since Modem has to doOther important and its main job of giving you broadband network connection.

Printer and content sharing is its secondary job as enhancement to promote

Home Networking. And you do not print tons of paper like an Office environmentAny way.

Good Luck and Enjoy your Content Sharing!

    Cheers
