It’s all about the keywords…
TIPS
• No matter what type of onsite content that you are creating – the most important factor to take into consideration is KEYWORDS!
• By undertaking keyword research you take out the guess work. Identify keywords and phrases that people are actually searching for and write content around this topic.
• There is no point putting a lot of time and effort into a great piece of content if no one is bothered…

FAQs create great content
TIPS
• Most search engine users will ask a question, rather than just typing in a keyword.
• This is especially the case with people who use voice search or built in “intelligent assistants” such as Apple’s Siri.
• Inspiration for FAQ can come for many sources including keyword research tools (explored earlier), Google’s suggested search or simply noting down common questions that customers ask you.
Google Alerts
TIPS
• Use ‘Google Alerts’ to get updates about news that is trending in your industry.
• This is a great way to show your expertise on a certain area and to show that you are ‘with the times’.
Regularity of posting
TIPS
• How regularly should I post content?• This all depends on your industry and how often you have something
news-worthy to share.
• Golden role – never post anything for posting sake! Whenever you are writing content it should have a purpose.
• Just make sure you are posting regularly and not once in a blue moon!
• Successful content is either funny, shocking or interesting.
Videos & Infographics
TIPS
• Whilst writing blogs is always going to be a fundamental in content creation, it is also a good idea to come up with different forms of content to engage your audience.
• Content that include videos, images and infographics will always work well because 65% of people are visual learners. They are more likely going to remember your content if you include these!
Case studies & testimonials
TIPS
• People are more likely going to trust a company and buy their products and services if they can read case studies, reviews, feedback or testimonials written by previous customers and clients.
• Dedicate a page on your website where people can read just how great you are! You could even include videos!
