Online accreditation is mandatory for all registered athletes who finally attend the competition. 2. Online accreditation aims to avoid the need to go in person to be accredited at the Secretariat before the competition. 3. Online accreditation must be done before 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021. Accreditation consists of 2 processes: 1. Introducing personal data, for its verification and confirmation, as well as its correction if necessary. 2. The personal declaration of acceptance of the conditions of participation in the competition by Protocol Covid-19. The form will be ACTIVE from June 4th (just after registration closes).

TECHNICAL INFORMATION Cape Santa Pola is a Fossil Reef, it has a formation of six million years, currently it is a calcareous promontory with a circular plan of about 5 km in diameter.

It is a map with special characteristics, the pines that it has are repopulated and the little rain in the area makes these forests hard and also with a lot of stone on the ground. For better visibility, the penetrability of the forest has been accentuated to better see the corridors that are between the areas of trees, and that allow shortening the routes and serve as support in decision-making. The map is made up of wide areas that are completely flat and traversed by deep ravines with cliffs on their sides. The Scale is 1: 10,000, equidistance 5 meters. In the course information you can see distances, total climb, scale, and number of controls for each route.

COMMENTS BY THE COURSE SETTER (SPRINT) The 1st competition in the Sprint League of 2021 will take place in the city of Guardamar del Segura on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. It is a map in which we can highlight three areas, two parks and the urban area of the city. The two parks are quite different; In one of them, detailed map reading, and precise orientation will make the difference in time, while in the other, quick decision-making and changes of direction will be key to losing as little time as possible. The map also offers us an urban framework in which the micro-selections of the route have been sought in each section that, combined with the high speed of the race, will always require maximum concentration. In general, it could be considered a very high-speed, with very little climb.

The scale will be 1: 4000 and the equidistance will be 2.5 meters. Important: It has been decided that the route is drawn on both sides of the map, so the map will have to be turned when the course so requires. Traffic will not be cut off, so extreme caution when crossing streets in urban areas is important. In the north park, there are some areas where there are protected plants, on the map they have been marked with the symbol 709.0 (purple striped), it is totally forbidden to run or step on these areas. The pre-start, in in the Guardamar sports center, will be located about 100 meters from the competition center and is located 15 minutes from the start (approximately 1200 meters). There will be two starts, one for open and one for federated as the protocol indicates, but the pre-start will be the same for both groups. Two car parks will be set up, car park 1 in the vicinity of the competition center and car park 2 about 900 meters from the competition center, indicated in the Competition Bulletin. The route from car park 2 to the pre-start will be marked. Transit through the urban center of Guardamar is prohibited from 3:15 p.m. on Saturday

the 12th.

COURSE SETTER COMMENTS (MIDDLE) The terrain for middle distance goes is southwest of the Santa Pola lighthouse. It is a terrain with a stony surface for the most part, with great contrasts of vegetation, which is very generalized by the cartographer due to its continuous changes.

There are a couple of canyons that run north-south that must be crossed in the latter part of the courses without presenting excessive demands, and some minor and seasonal watercourse, sometimes not very visible. Man-made elements such as cliffs, slopes, fields and some pipes predominate, all of which are sometimes difficult to identify at high running speeds, due to the fact that in most of the terrain there is low vegetation type kermes oak, esparto or similar, which makes it difficult both for vision and running. There are also rocky elements of a natural nature such as cliffs and caves in the canyons. The area has a moderate network of roads, which, being essential in the lower categories, and the Open Categories, have been tried to avoid in the most demanding routes, for which in these routes the use of the compass in navigation and correct reading of the terrain, and details of the map will be essential for the runner. The courses present more climb and more technical difficulty for the medium and high categories, these courses are going through the southern part. They will have to cross a canyon in the last part of the route. The less demanding routes will run through the northern part with less climb. Although the total climb of the races is not high and there are no large slopes. Given the generalization of the terrain, the controls have been placed in clearly distinguishable elements: trees, vegetation limits, clearings, walls, cuttings, etc. The great proliferation of stones in the area and their complex identification, when running at high speed, as in middle distance races, has made us avoiding putting controls on them. Stones are used as control points only when they are clearly identifiable. For the same reason, the clearings used as control points are perfectly visible both on the map and in the terrain. The courses in general present the structure of medium-distance races with continuous changes of direction, permanent map reading and technical challenges when approaching the controls. It is not a terrain where there is an abundance of detail, so the use of the compass even in short sections will be essential for the final result of the race. The running speed will be high in general, with the exception when you will have to be careful where you step in areas with lots of small stones. The entire map has quite a few stones, so it is advisable to protect your ankles well.

COURSE SETTER COMMENTS (LONG)

The uniqueness of the terrain, which is basically configured by an extensive flat platform that does not offer great geographical impediments to advance (only crossed by two canyons that cross the area in a northeast-southwest direction), gives rise to a long-distance race with few route choices. However, a remarkably interesting and fun competition has been proposed for any competitor who lends himself in one of the most special and curious terrains in this part of Spain.

The main and key characteristic of this long distance will be the long navigations without support points or clear references. Here you have to run with confidence. The contour lines, which is usually the key to use simplifying when navigating, disappears in flat areas and the few inflections that may exist are often hidden by the limited visibility. The low pines and the Mediterranean vegetation that covers the terrain does not limit running speed, which can be very high, but it does limit visibility. The main difficulty will be close to the controls without obvious references to rely on. In general, there are no elements that stand out from others and the characteristic trees reflected on the map are not always easily visible. Identifying the details and rock elements will not be easy since the size of the elements that have been drawn on the map can actually be very small (sizes below half a meter). Therefore, control of the direction and the running speed will be fundamental aspects to take into account in this Long distance Race which will be a technical challenge for most of the participants. On the entire map there are small stones on the ground, so it is advisable to protect your ankles well.

PROTOCOL COVID19

The COVID-19 health crisis makes it necessary to adopt a series of measures within the protocols set by the health authorities. The Organization of the "X Premi d'orientació de la Comunitat Valenciana" will follow the protocol of action for the return of official competitions at the state level and of a non-professional nature, approved by the FEDO Management Commission and which expands the proposed text in terms of orientation by the Higher Sports Council. Reading and accepting the PROTOCOL is an essential condition to take part in these competitions, to guarantee ORIENTEERING in a safe health environment. The different measures that will be considered for the development of the Orienteering sport. Among them, we highlight the elimination of the usual informative papers (departure times, results ...) that were exhibited in the Competition Centers; the starts will be delayed in time to avoid crowds; No control description card will be given to use, award ceremonies will be avoided and the face mask will be mandatory except in the race.

BEFORE THE COMPETITION The M / W-Elite, M / W-16E-18E-20E categories cannot make requests for departure times. Only

in exceptional and duly justified cases, the Controlling Judge may authorize that special requests for start times be met by athletes in these categories, always before the end of the last registration period.

The rest of the categories can request time slots on the SICO platform at the time of registration, such as EARLY AND LATE.

Athletes traveling in the same vehicle are requested to choose similar time slots so that they can all arrive together, complete the course and be able to leave the competition area together.

There will be no delivery of bib numbers. The description of Controls will be published on the WEB page. It is the responsibility of the runner

to print it. There will be no delivery of a description of controls in the Departures area. Runners with a rented SIAC card can pick it up at the PRE-START for each race.

DURING THE COMPETITION No type of SIGNS will be placed, or road signs, (see maps in the bulletins), start times will not

be displayed, nor will results be displayed in the competition area, these will be online and in real time, neither will you receive a paper with the partial times of the route at the finish line.

In the parking areas, please interact as little as possible and stay in it for the necessary time to change, complete the competition and then leave.

Maintain a safe distance at all times. The mask must be worn at all times. Participants must wear the mask at the start (The

Organization will indicate when the runner can remove the mask). Please keep them well so as not to lose them during the race.

Only competitors go to the Competition center, in due time for their starting time. (you must note pre-start times when it applies).

For all categories it will be mandatory to go through PRE-EXIT, from there, with pre-marking, you will be taken to exit 1 or 2 respectively.

In the START area, NO CONTROLDESCRIPTIONS will be handed out. These will be posted on the WEB with enough time so that you can print them and bring them with you to the competition.

All the official categories will start from “EXIT 1” and the “Open” categories will start from “EXIT 2” and will start by activating the SI-card in the START base, they will not have a pre-established time. Depending on the number of runners who register, the categories may change from one START to another. This will be confirmed in NEWSLETTER 3.
