Front Page The reason why I have chosen this image is because her hair looks big, so therefore I can place the writing around her and also she is posing in a way which could be seen as vulnerable and applying to the male gaze as she looks innocent, yet powerful. Furthermore, it can meet up to my target demographics dreams and aspirations as she is an attractive, independent looking woman. However, the other images would have also been good to use but some of them look to boring and plain, where as the one I have chosen, looks as though it can attract the mode of address as she is also looking directly into the camera which will persuade readers to purchase this magazine.

Contents I have chosen this image due to the fact that it applies best to my genre of music, which is R&B as she looks like a attractive, feisty woman which therefore will influence readers to want to read into this article. Also, due to her wearing garments, it makes it look rather R&B like as she is posing with chain and clearly showing it to the readers.

This image could refer to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs as it could meet audiences dreams and aspirations as she is portraying her identity through her style and image, which will influence my demographic to hopefully do the same.

Contents The reason to why I chose this image is because she is posing in a way which will make her look like an R&B artist, also will attract my audience as she has a good sense of style and clearly likes to be accessorised with wearing jewellery and headbands and nail vanish. Although, I am intending to change this nail vanish colour so that it is pink to match her headband and will also go with the colour scheme of my magazine.

This image is also rather appealing due to the fact that she is gazing into the camera. Also, she looks like a wild character due to her having big hair and jewellery and the pose that she is striking.

Contents This image represents the genre of my magazine as she looks like a wild, enthusiastic woman, as she has red coloured hair which is a bright colour, also in the image she is dressed in black which contrasts well with her hair colour, also the way in which she is posing portrays that she is a outgoing and confident artist, who enjoys what she does and this appeals to my demographic as this can meet her dreams and aspirations as if they see her as a confident, independent and wild character which will then influence my audience to feel confident about themselves and that they can reach their dreams and aspirations. This then refers to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs due to self actualisation. The reason I have not chosen the other images is due to the fact that they are not in focus.

Contents The reason in why I have chosen this image is because I wanted my model to be sitting down on the floor for my contents page so that they can be at the bottom of the page as this looks more appealing as it has a meaning behind the picture, as she is not gazing into the camera like the other artists are doing so, this challenges the typical conventions as she is looking down and her body language shows that she is rather shy, yet possibly unhappy. This image is therefore conveying a message, also it appeals to my demographic as she is wearing a black and leopard dress which is appealing and eye catching, it also makes her look attractive, it will also give me the chance to use photo shop to an advantage as I can enhance certain body parts and make them look more sharp around the edges of this image.

Contents The reason in why I have chosen this image is because it is in focus and is suitable for my target demographic due to the fact that he is staring into the camera in order to catch the readers attention, also his posture is more clear and expresses his body language clearly as it is from the front view, where as the others are from side view.

Furthermore, the lighting is good in the picture I have chosen as the natural light makes the image more visible and almost that glow effect, where as the other ones are clearly in a darker source of light. The use of natural light when doing photography is to make the quality of the image enhanced, which is being portrayed in the image I have chosen.

Contents The reason in why I have chosen these images is because I wanted to include some males on my contents page, so that this could interest my demographic which are females.I have chosen these specific images due to the fact that they look like R&B artists due to their style of clothing, pose and facial expression. I also like the fact that they are looking into the camera which will intrigue readers to read into this article. However, I decided to take the left hand boy in the image and place him next to my other model who is not in fact originally in the picture through using photo shop, the reason I have decided to do this is because by including the boy in the original image, it will make my contents page consist of to many artists wearing black or dark colours.

Double Page Spread The reason in why I have chosen these image’s to feature on my double page spread is because I think that she looks innocent, vulnerable and submissive which refers to the male gaze. In the picture of her putting her hand to her lip presents that she is a vulnerable woman, however in the picture below she looks powerful and submissive and she is posing in a way to attract the male gaze in both images. Furthermore, these images do not consist of much editing, but to just tone down the contrast and make the background white using photo shop software.

The other images are also referring to the male gaze however it may look to casual rather than professional.

Double Page Spread The reason in which I have chosen this image is because it refers to the male gaze as she is posing in a way which will catch the males eye as she has placed her hand on her hip and the idea of her wearing heels and all black portrays that she keeps her identity hidden from the media as she comes across as an independent, fiery and ambitious woman.

Furthermore, this image is eye catching and appealing and is suitable for my demographic, as it is also in focus and will appeal to the hyper real image as I will use photo shop to edit this image.
