Subject: Examination for A.E. Roche, Box 284, Prescott •

.. The La Brash Group of holdings of Agnes E. Roche, Box 284

Prescott, Arizona consists of s~ven unpatented mining claims located in the Hassayampa Mining Distri6~ of Yavapai County about 9 miles by road from Prescott, a station on the santa Fe Railroad. The group is situated about ! mile from Indian Creek Forest Camp and about t mile from the Hassayampa river and is in the proximity of the Sterling and Morgan mines. The La Brash Claim, one of the group of seven, may be reached directly bY,the Oro-Flame road for a distance of about ~ of a mile from the forest cont:rol road -- the Orm-Flame road is barely passable to this pOint.

-. The property was examined both by daylight and with the

Ultra-violet lamp in the night darkness. The chief mineralization was found to be Scheel! te ( CavY04 ) which here occurs disseminated throughout massive dikes of milky-quartz, sometimes called bullquartz. These veins, the largest of which is about 10 feet wide and traceable across the claim and on to others of the group, strikes through a country of coarse granite in an approximately North-South direction, and dips to the East with an inclin8.ction of nearly 60 degrees. The workings on the property consist of old abandoned pits and shallow shafts made in the course of location and prospecting during earlier times when this district was being searched for gold. No recent work except of a prospecting or locating nature has been done.

o The owner has reported a tungsten assay from the La Brasch

Claim of 1.17%. In view of this, and considering the spotty showing of the Scheelite when examined under Ultra-violet radiation, it 1s recommended that a thorough and controlled preliminary sampling be made of the La Brash Vein to determine whether or not the ore will average a grade of Tungsten that can be mined economically for milling.
