PHILIPPINE OFFICIALS AND BUSINESS EXECUTIVES CALL ON CONSUL GENERAL IN CHICAGO, SSS PROVIDES ON-SITE SERVICES AT THE CONSULATE

13 August 2019 – Top officials of the Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA) and Social Security System (SSS), as well as executives from top Philippine enterprises, called on Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin at the Kalayaan Hall of the Philippine Consulate General in Chicago on 8-9 August 2019.

PRA General Manager and CEO Atty. Bienvenido K. Chy and SSS President and CEO Aurora C. Ignacio headed their respective delegations to Chicago as key partners of the Consulate in the 1st Philippine Retirement Summit in the U.S. Midwest. They called on Consul General Jamoralin on 9 August 2019. Joining General Manager Chy were Mr. Mervin A. Magbuhat, OIC/Division Chief III and Ms. Kettslyn T. Quiletorio, Information Officer IV of the Marketing Department of PRA. Joining CEO Ignacio was Ms. Joy A. Villacorta, Department Manager III and Acting Head for International Operations Group. Consul General Jamoralin thanked them for visiting Chicago and playing major roles in the Reitrement Summit. GM Chy and CEO Ignacio expressed appreciation for the Consulate’s initiative, noting that this is the first event of its kind bringing together retirement, pension fund and housing authorities and real estate and allied companies that they have been invited to.

SSS, through Foreign Representative II Marites C. Marin, provided on-site services

to numerous clients at the Consulate on 8-9 August 2019. Consul General Jamoralin also received Philippine business delegations that

served as partners in the Retirement Summit. One Ayala, through Ayala Corporation Senior Manager for Special Events Maureen Abrogar Barreiro, Ayala Land Regional Head for North America Katrina Isabel Aguas, BPI Vice President for Overseas Banking Melinda V. Dulay, and BPI Remittance Relationship Manager Cesareo de Leon IV, called on the Consul General on 8 August 2019. Megaworld International, through Assistant Vice President for Sales Eric Dimaiwat and Assistant Country Manager Sonia Jaranilla, called on the Consul General on 9 August 2019. During the calls, Consul General Jamoralin thanked the companies for the partnership in the summit and looked forward to collaborating further to promote Philippine retirement, real estate, banking and other allied industries.
