For the fixing of steel reinforcements in concrete Epobar Resin is an injectable resin inserted in the drill hole (-50% volume) using an injection tool and its nozzle. The resin can be used in cracked or hollow concrete and in other solid building materials. The concrete can be dry or wet.

Absorbs tensile forces induced into the soil and distributes the stresses through the high tensile strength bars. The Secugrid apertures allow for strike through of the cover soil material which then interlock with the bars, providing confinement of the overlaying granular/soil material due to the strength and stiffness of the ribs. This interlocking of the soil combined with the very high product modulus, minimises soil deformation and ensures the integrity of the application. Large aperture grids are available where the fill has a partial size of over 75mm.

Lightweight high load paving reinforcement system manufactured from recycled plastics with a cellular construction. Envirotrak’s unique interlocking design coupled with high loading strength provides a strong and robust surface. Can take loads of up to 400 tonnes per square metre. It is extremely versatile and may be used in a wide range of applications. Walls/Gabion Baskets

Gabions and Mattresses offer a fast effective solution for many earth stabilisation problems. Gabion systems are widely used in many applications including retaining walls, erosion control, scour prevention, landscaping and for coastal protection, in applications such as river and sea control. The strength and flexibility of the welded mesh helps withstand and absorb the forces generated by retained earth or water flow.

Erosion Control

Environmentally friendly solutions for even the most severe erosion applications. Biodegradable matting acts as a protection to the slope preventing erosion and the loss of expensive soil and giving slope stability as well as providing an ideal micro climate for seeds to germinate. The materials have a lifespan of between 1 and 5 years with weights ranging from 150-1500grams.

Provides the ideal solution to prevent silt laden run-off, site debris and other pollutants contaminating the surrounding landscape and natural watercourses which may result in significant environmental damage.Prevents contamination of the area surrounding site, by capturing any silt/soil on site behind the fence allowing any silts to settle, while the robust woven, UV stable membrane allows water to filter through.

It has a 3-dimensional honeycomb structure made from strips of extruded polypropylene forming a lightweight expandable structure. Its ultrasonically welded joints deliver extremely high tensile strengths, improving soil bearing capacity up to 17 times.

Load BearingAs a surface reinforcement system SIG Web provides a strong and stable load bearing surface giving the soil up to 17 times its normal load bearing capacity. Supporting and isolating the load bearing surface from the weaker sub grades below, SIG Web solves the load bearing issue whilst giving an aesthetically pleasing finish.

Erosion Control And Slope StabilisationWhen used on embankments SIG Web increases the soil’s natural resistance to erosion whilst also providing protection to the root zone.

Tree Root ProtectionThe Web provides a stable and firm surface for roads and paths in areas where there are trees by evenly spreading the load reducing sub soil compaction above the roots. The permeable structure allows the migration of water and nutrients to the tree root to encourage healthy growth.

Root & Weed Barriers

A range of permeable and impermeable root barriers. Tough and durable, these liners prevent damage by invasive root growth giving protection to structures such as roadways, pipelines and housing.

High filtration properties coupled with excellent puncture resistance makes them ideal weed suppressants by massively reducing root penetration into the soil but allowing water and nutrients to enter the soil. These control weeds without the need for the use of chemicals. Available in mini packs for domestic use in garden or patio applications through to large 450 square metres rolls for large landscaping projects.

Unique permeable root barrier consisting of a layer of copper sandwiched between two layers of geotextile. Predominantly used in the control of Japanese Knotweed. The copper foil releases inert chemical traces which shoots and roots are adverse to.When installed correctly, Root X enables contaminated areas to be completely sealed off and built over.

High performance barrier against invasive plants such as Japanese knotweed. Geoflow is made up of a high strength, high flow cuspated HDPE core which forms a void to drain or vent with a filter geotextile on one or both sides. A geosynthetic clay liner designed for use in large applications such as reservoirs. It has additional Bentonite impregnated into a 50cm overlap so installation simply consists of unrolling and overlapping with no further manual involvement. Bentofix NSP 4900 consists of a layer of Sodium Bentonite held between two layers of geotextiles. The layers are mechanically bonded together using a patented needle punching process.

We aim for a very fast turn around of small jobs. A same day service is often available locally and depending on the specifics of the bar schedule, it is sometimes possible to palletise the cut and bent bar and send on a next day service throughout the country.

Generally schedules totalling 2 tonne or less will be considered for in-house processing. Above 2 tonne is usually outsourced.

Thruty sleeve is a rigid PVC tube of 2mm wall thickness, supplied in 2 metre lengths which can easily be cut to the required size. It is used as an expendable sleeve over tie bolts, facilitating their removal and also acting as a spacer to ensure correct width of wall.

Standard Range SpecificationsEazistrip Reinforcement Continuity Systems are designed to maintain continuity of reinforcement at construction joints in concrete. Formwork design is simplified and there is no need to drill shuttering. Each unit consists of a galvanised steel casing which is dimpled to provide an effective concrete bond. Pre-bent bars are housed within the box and are secured by a protective cover. When the cover is removed the bars can be straightened ready for lapping onto the main reinforcement. Bars must be straightened only once, using an Eazistrip re-bending tool. When the potential for water ingress through the construction joint is a major concern, Eazistrip can be supplied with a Pentaflex hydrostatic seal which provides protection against moisture permeation along the joint face.Eazistrip Reinforcement Continuity systems are manufactured from CARES approved bar. The grade of reinforcing bar complies with the tensile requirements of BS4449:2005 Grade B500C. The bars are bent in accordance with BS8666.Notes1. Dimensions shown are nominal. Heights and lengths

Ancon 30/20 is a high performance channel and should be used in preference to 38/17. Its unique shape allows the applied load to be fed directly from the channel lips to the anchors and the more compact section size improves its fit between reinforcement. In addition, its lower material content provides cost benefits.Specially designed T-head bolts ride up the sloping sides of the channel and securely lock behind the front lips. This channel also accepts standard 20mm wide wall ties.

Self-anchoring channel for use with Ancon wall ties referenced SP21, SD21 or PP21. The shallow depth of 18mm allows the channel to be used where there is reduced cover to the reinforcement. Nail holes aid the fixing of the channel to timber formwork.

Short two-step angles, interchangable brackets and locking wedges. This system is more adjustable than welded bracket systems which are fast and easy to install without detailed layout drawings.

Continuous angles are usually suitable for applications where cavities are small, or there is a requirement for the cavity to be closed at the support position.The angles will normally be supplied in lengths of up to four metres.

This bespoke system can carry over eight metres of brickwork and can accommodate any width of cavity from 40mm. The brackets are welded to the angle and the material content of both components is optimised to ensure an economic solution.

These are channel section windposts which are designed to be installed within the cavity leaving the blockwork undisturbed. The windposts are complete with end connections and ties which fit into the vertical slots in the flanges of the channel section.Bespoke Design Available

These are generally used in internal blockwork walls that have a ‘fair faced’ finish to both sides and where the windposts cannot protrude beyond either face.Sometimes referred to as ‘spine’ posts they are flat plates designed to fit within the wall. Although the depth of a WP4 post is limited by the width of the masonry (ideally 20mm less than the wall width) the thickness of the post can vary to increase its load capacity.Blockwork is tied through the post. 25/14 Restraint System Surface Fixed Channel

The Ancon 25/14 channel system is designed to tie brickwork to steel studding. Self-drilling screws fix through the channel and the insulation material, into the steel. Once the channel is installed, Ancon SD25 wall ties can be positioned at any point along its length and are built into the bed joints of the outer leaf of brickwork. The spacing of ties is based on the height of building and its geographical location.

Channels are supplied plain-backed for surface fixing to either concrete or steelwork.

When bolting channel to concrete or steelwork it is important to utilise all fixing holes (except with 25/14 channels), incorporating the square washer provided and ensuring its correct orientation to achieve the allowable loads. 25/14 Channel should be fixed to steelwork at 450mm vertical centres with self-drilling screws.

Brick Reinforcement

AMR Reinforcement AMR - X Reinforcement

Ancon AMR is a steel reinforcement, designed to be located in the horizontal bed joint to strengthen masonry panels. The longitudinal steel wires are flattened to ensure good cover is maintained even when lapped or used with wall ties.

Ancon AMR – X is based on the existing Ancon AMR masonry reinforcement, but with shaped rather than straight cross wires. This innovative design is a simple, cost effective way to correct poor site practice.

If applied to dry bricks or blocks, only the modified cross wires are in contact with the masonry; the longitudinal wires are elevated.

Brickforce®

Brick reinforcement consists of two main parallel wires joined by in-line welded cross wires. Main wires are manufactured to a flattened profile to simplify location into the mortar joint without steel build-up problems at lap positions corners/junctions, or when used in conjunction with wall ties.

Remedial Wall Ties

Type Description

Ancon MM63 Mechanical/Mechanical Used when tying together two leaves of solid materials, this tie has mechanical expanders at each end. Requires 10mm holes.

Ancon RM63 Resin/MechanicalFor use when the material in the inner leaf is perforated, of low density or afriable material. A resin fixing may be used to eliminate any imposed stress. Requires 10mm holes.

Staifix RR

Used where mechanical expanders are unusable. Normally inserted into a hole, but if test facilities are required, a 12mm hole must be used. A plastic sieve can be used to retain resin and is particularly useful in perforated brick or hollow block-work. A 12mm hole is required to fit the sieve.

Stairib Bar Stainless steel ribbed bar, resin-grouted into the inner and outer leaves.

Ancon AC 31

Used where bricks are removed then replaced in the outer leaf. The wavy end is resin-bonded into the inner leaf in a 10mm hole. The triangular end sits in the bed joint. Ancon AC 31 supplied with a drip or a neoprene ring.

Cameron T47

Used for the repair of mass brickwork with an unbonded brick façade, sometimes built from snapped headers. The T end is built into the bed joint and perpend, and hidden when the brickwork is repointed

Fischer FIS P 380 C Resin

This styrene-free injection resin is quick setting and suitable for a wide range of applications. The two components are safely mixed together inside the nozzle. Automatic mixing ensures an accurate blending of the components, and being mixed only as required, the minimum of wastage. Resin guns and additional mixing nozzles are available.


Two-Part Tie

Cavities exceeding 150mm are sometimes required. This necessitates longer ties which can be difficult to balance and keep horizontal when built into the inner leaf. The Ancon Two-Part Tie has one section built into the blockwork; the other section is then fixed as the outer leaf is built.The inner tie is manufactured in a standard length of 170mm. Variation in the cavity width is accommodated by the length of the outer tie. Insulation Retaining Clips can be supplied to fit the inner section.Ancon Two-Part Ties sustain loads which exceed the requirements for a Type 2 tie to PD6697 for cavities up to 300mm. An embedment of 75mm is required at each end.

Fastrack Channel

Ancon Fastrack Channel is built into the inner leaf of blockwork ready to take an Ancon SD28 or similar tie for the outer leaf. This method of construction avoids the dangers of projecting ties (Tie lengths = open cavity + 50mm).Various sizes available

Hammer-on Section

Available in five sizes to accommodate a steel thickness from 7mm to 25mm, this fixing is simply hammered onto the flange. It can be utilised either on a column with a tie or on a beam with an internal head restraint.(Tie lengths = open cavity + 50mm).Various sizes available

Column Tie

The Column Tie clamps to the flange of a column. It accommodates a steel thickness from 6mm to 25mm and should be installed at 225mm vertical centres. Manufactured in lengths to suit the application, it can feature a drip for use across the cavity or a plain shank for installation back into the inner leaf.


Ancon SAH Sliding Anchors have stems which fit within the cavity and accept ties that slide to accommodate vertical movement. Available with six different head options as standard, they are supplied with one-way or two-way ties with safety ends.The standard fixing hole is 12mm diameter to suit Ancon M10 Single Expansion Bolts or M10 T Head Bolts to fit Ancon 28/15 Channel. The Ancon FHR Head Restraint is used for restraining the top of internal walls or the internal leaf of a cavity wall. The two angles clamp the top of the wall and have 9mm diameter holes to suit M8 bolts. They are supplied with two holes in the longer angle to allow the restraint to fit 100mm and 140mm blockwork. Each restraint can resist a service load of 1kN.

Head Restraints

IHR – Internal Head Restraint SAH – Sliding Anchors

FHR Head Restraint

The Ancon IHR is used for restraining the top of internal walls or the top of the inner leaf of a cavity wall. The opening at the front of the channel stem is sealed to prevent mortar ingress and to ensure that vertical movement can take place between the blockwork and the structure.

SIS SPI

Stainless steel set screws, nuts and washers are available in a range of diameters and lengths in grades A2 (1.4301) and A4 (1.4401). Set screws can be shrink-wrapped and supplied complete with nylon washer to prevent bi-metallic corrosion when fixing to steel.

These screws feature a shaped drill tip of hardened steel that allows installation without pre-drilling. Hi-thread screws accommodate insulation between a surface-fixed channel and the steel frame.

Self Drilling Screw

Single expansion bolts fix into a hole which is similar to the diameter of the bolt. This allows the hole to be drilled through the hole in the item to be fixed. The single expansion bolt is a cost-effective anchor, available in grade A4 316 (1.4401 or 1.4571) stainless steel in a wide range of sizes.

Single Expansion Through Bolts

The 36/8 Wall Extension System can be supplied with either SP36 ties or, where some longitudinal movement must be accommodated at the joint, PP36 ties complete with debonding sleeves. The system is available as a kit comprising a length of 36/8 channel 2400mm long, ten ties, ten plugs and screws. The design shear strength is 3.7kN over a wall height of 2400mm.The channel can be supplied in lengths of up to 3.4 metres with each length having a series of holes to allow fixing to the existing wall.

This system includes all necessary fixings to join a single skin of masonry, 2400mm high, to an existing wall. Each pack includes two fixing strips, five plugs, five washers, five screws and ten wall ties.Suitable for wall widths from 60mm to 250mm, this system provides a design shear strength of 4kN over a height of 2400mm.Wall Ties slide within the fixing strip to course with the bed joints of any masonry unit. This Universal Wall Starter System meets the technical requirements of the NHBC.

When surface fixing or post fixing to the cavity face of the inner leaf, a fixing strip should be used. The surface should first be primed, the DPC then bonded to the inner leaf using Zedex Jointing Tape and then secured using Zedex Fixing Strip and Pins at 150mm intervals.

A thick synthetic rubber mastic adhesive with gap filling properties up to 6mm suitable for bonding Hyload DPCs and pre-formed cloak units to a wide range of common building materials. No primer is required.

A synthetic rubber/resin mixture supplied in 500ml cans. It is suitable for bonding DPC to DPC, and DPC to pre-formed cloak units. Before use, ensure that surfaces to be bonded are clean and dry. Apply Hyload DPC Lap Adhesive to both surfaces and allow to dry. Bring surfaces together and apply firm pressure to create a permanent bond.

A double sided self adhesive bituminous tape for bonding DPC to DPC, and DPC to pre-formed cloak units. Before use, ensure that surfaces to be bonded are clean and dry.

The stainless steel helical bars are chemically bonded into bed joints to stitch cracks, redistributing tensile forces and stabilising the structure. AIM Wall Cavity Fire Barrier is a high density foil-faced rockfibre slab intended for installation within masonry wall applications and is capable of providing up to 4 hours fire performance within cavities up to 600mm in overall width. The barrier is available in either full slabs to be cut on site or in a pre-manufactured section to suit the desired cavity width. It is necessary to install the barrier under 5% compression while utilising additional fixing clips.

AIM Fire Stop Strip is a high density mineral fibre strip which provides a fire and acoustic barrier when positioned within linear voids in masonry wall applications. Fire Stop Strip is held in position under 5% compression and will accommodate voids up to 100mm in overall depth. The product is manufactured to suit the overall void and will achieve up to 4 hours fire performance. Fire Stop Strip is commonly located at the top of masonry wall locations and vertically within joints within the masonry skin.Voids: 10-100mm Length: 1200mm

AIM Fire Stop Blocks are mineral fibre based infill blocks which are commonly located within trapezoidal profiles to the top of masonry walls. Fire Stop Blocks are manufactured to suit the specified trapezoidal profile and are held in place under compression. The length of the block varies according to the fire rating and profile design, however, to simplify your requirements please confirm the profile design and required fire rating at time of order.

AIM Cavity Fire Closer is a rockfibre section bonded to a DPC layer which is intended for installation at blockwork return reveals within masonry wall applications. Cavity Fire Closer complies with Part E of the Building Regulations and has been independently tested and assessed by Exova Warringtonfire to provide up to 60 minutes fire performance. This is designed to provide ventilation below suspended ground floors. The ventilator is telescopic and can be adjusted vertically between 3 and 5 brick courses.

This is used in conjunction with the telescopic underfloor ventilator for providing ventilation below suspended ground floors and used with cavity sleeves for providing ventilation through external walls to a building interior. The airbricks can be clipped together to form a 9” x 6” or 9” x 9” airbrick.Available in Buff, Terracotta, Grey, Brown, Black & White.

This fits between the airbrick and upper front opening of the telescopic underfloor ventilator to accommodate external walls of more than 102.5mm thickness up to 215mm.

Bitumen Impregnated Boards are used as a general purpose expansion joint filler in non-critical joints and brick wall construction.

A soft and flexible open cell polyurethane foam, impregnated with an acrylic based, UV stabilised resin. The resin is water repellent, weather tight and contains a fire retardant. It is supplied as pre-compressed rolls with a self adhesive side to aid initial location. Various roll sizes and length options available.
