Constellation Program
Program Manager’s Status
Jeff Hanley, Program Manager2 October 2007
2July, 2007
Program Intro
♦ Program established in 2005 with Formulation Authorization Document complete in August 2006
♦ CxP is organized modeled on Apollo “5 box” structure
♦ CxP is hosted at JSC with participation and support from all Agency centers
♦ Aggressive tempo for standing up CxP with Projects, requirements definition, and procurements proceeding concurrently•
Includes establishing frameworks for content implementation •
Ares 1-X flight is scheduled for April ‘09
♦ CxP resources are constrained in the front end - drive focus on management of reserves, cash flow, and schedule
♦ Efforts to “close” the technical baseline and align margins between Orion and Ares elements underway
