OUR MISSION
Consorzio il Tardivo di Ciaculli formed in January 1999, it aims to promote all the initiatives to protect, enhance and develop the high value agricultural groves in Palermo, known as Conca d'Oro. We are committed to enhance our groves through sustainable agriculture , quality-driven business procedures and full transparency for our clients, employees and consumers.

OUR PRODUCTION AREA
The last extensive agricultural area of the city of Palermo and the greater mandarin-productive area of the Conca D’Oro. The main crop is the late Ciaculli Late-Winter Mandarin , which occupies about 80% of the productive fields, followed by Mandarin Havana, Red Giant Ciaculli Medlars, lemons and a moderate amount of apricots and oranges.
TARDIVO DI CIACULLI MANDARIN
The Ciaculli late has been obtained by spontaneous bud mutation from Mandarin Havana. It takes its name from the area, where it was discovered, Ciaculli, and from the time of later ripening. Excellent product characteristics such as the strong aroma, high sugar content, SSC/TA Ratio between 11-18, poor tendency to puff and crease, fine skin, good resistance to handling and transportation, low presence of seeds (3/7). The mandarin blooms in Late April / June, a has flattened spherical shape with a pale orange color, fruit weight varies from 40 to 150 grams, the full maturation takes place between the months of January and February, the product is maintained in tree until March.
PRODUCT RANGE
Mandarin is marketed with or without leaves. If sold with leaves the product is backed by a passport issued by the Institute for phyto-pathological diseases of plants of the Sicilian Region. The consortium has several partnerships with other citrus producers; our product portfolio also includes Vanilla and Ribera oranges. We also sell different varieties of lemons (Primo Fiore, Verdello), produced in areas naturally suited as the Conca D’Oro in Palermo and Campobello di Mazzara. Since 2008 a new set of producers has joined the Consorzio further enlarging our product range with “Gialletto” and “Purceddu” melon, whose groves nearby the cities of Corleone, Gibellina, Santa Ninfa and Camporeale. Since 2013 many of our products are also available Organic (mandarins, lemons and oranges)
PACKAGING
We can pack our products in various sizes / materials in order to satisfy our business partners needs. We are fully equipped to satisfy Large distribution/Grocery Chains requirements both in terms of logistics arrangements and order processing. We take care of the whole packaging and transportation process to ensure our customers an optimal supply chain performance and maximum product freshness. Among the different formats we use: - Plastic baskets 30x40-30x50-40x60 - Cardboard baskets 30x40-30x50-40x60 cm - Net bags from 1 kg to 3 kg - Girsac 1 kg to 3 kg - CPR - IFCO or packaging on request of customers
