INTERNATION DAY OF FORESTS

This global celebration of forests provides a platform to raise awareness of the importance of all types of forests and of trees outside forests.

Forests cover one third of the Earth's land mass, performing vital functions around the world. Around 1.6 billion people - including more than 2,000 cultures - depend on forests for their livelihood.

Every year on the International Day of Forests we celebrate the ways in which forests and trees sustain and protect us. This year we are raising awareness of how forests are key to the planets supply of freshwater, which is essential for life.

What is DeforestationDeforestation is when humans remove or clear large areas of forest lands and related ecosystems for non-forest use.To be used, sold or exported as timber, wood or fuel (charcoal). This is called logging. To be used for farming purposes

How to REDUCE DeforestationWood factories: we should stop or lessen the production in those factories that cut down trees to make their products ex. paper, furniture, etc. People's basic needs: we all know that the cause of deforestation is people's needs from the forests. Even though we depend on the forests, we should learn to lessen our dependency on the forests and their environment. So we need to use a little of them as possible and wisely.

Recycling : we should recycle all the thing that are made of tree ex. Paper, bags, furniture, etc. because it lead to the less cutting of tree and also the products of trees will be used wisely.

More Ways!Paper: paper is one of the most important things in the world without it we can't do almost anything. We can't study, write, learn and a lot of stuff which is impossible to do without paper, but many of the forests are destroyed just to make paper out of them. So lessen your dependency on the paper and try to use as less as possible and recycle them. Afforestation: after cutting down a tree we should plant two because this way there will be a balance of ecosystem and the rate of deforestation will diminish.

Forest fires threaten people needlessly, kill wildlife and destroy forests that provide a livelihood and recreation for millions of people around the world.Comply with all local laws and regulations- Many municipalities have laws governing burning of all kinds including time of day, time of year, and what substances can be burned.Only use easily controlled locations for burning- Make sure all campfires occur in fully surrounded fire pits and limit the size of all fires.Do not burn anything unusual or combustible- It is common for people to throw garbage or other things into campfires, but these foreign materials can occasionally react violently to fires and lead to a quickly spreading fire.
