CONNECTIONS February 10, 2016 An Ash Wednesday Message from Mrs. Argenti Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent and the season of preparation through prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Though Lent is usually a solemn time of scaling back and putting others before self, it is also a time of spiritual reflection so we are prepared for the mystery of the resurrection at Easter. During this season, I challenge you to be intentional about making time for Christ in your life. Whether through prayer, stripping away excess (fasting), or serving others (almsgiving), I hope you will join me in 40 days of a disciplined practice of our Catholic faith.
