Brisbane, the capital and the most populous city of Queensland, is one of the major tourist destinations in Australia. It is the third largest city in the country by population. Located inside a bend of Brisbane River,this city is established on the original European settlement and has acted as host to many large international events such as the 1982 Commonwealth Games,1988 World Expo and the 2014 G-20 summit.
Brisbane is famous for its incredible fighting spirit. Even after being hit by two major floods in 1974 and 2011, the city is really well developed with a record population growth, amongst the highest in the country and a really great infrastructure. There was incredible development during the 1980s, after the first major flood, as Brisbane got ready to host several major international events. These events gave a major boost to the tourism sector of the city, which the city authorities had been looking for a very long time. Hosting a string of such important events has now put Brisbane high on every tourists wish list.
Brisbane Tourism Campaign Tactics
The Brisbane local authorities have taken major steps to make Brisbane more tourism-friendly and more sellable as a dream destination. Recently, the Brisbane mayor launched a Give Me Brisbane Any Day campaign that focuses on encouraging visitors and locals to share their experiences with friends back home and online, so as to publicize the city.

This mountain peak is situated 287 meters above sea level and is the highest peak around Brisbane. It offers a great panoramic view of the city and has a cool lookout point to watch the beautiful city sprawling on the edges of a huge river.
South Bank Parklands

The South Bank Parklands is built on the site of the World Expo 1988 and was opened to the public in 1992. A huge amusement park, this area is connected to the city through the Victoria Bridge and is situated on the South end of the river.
Brisbanes Connectivity to Major Cities
Brisbane is connected to other cities in the country through a network of many highways and rail systems. Also, the various regions of Brisbane are connected with each other by railroads and bridges to overcome the transportation problem across the Brisbane River.
The Brisbane Airport is the third busiest airport in the country and connects Brisbane to many international destinations from all across the globe. There are many proposals and offers to enhance the number of passengers by various flight companies, such as cheap flights from London to Brisbane and from many other major cities such as Paris, Rome and New York.
Also, there are many ticket booking agencies that provide ticket booking services from London to Brisbane.
The abundance of transportation facilities and the hospitality offered make Brisbane one of the best holiday destinations.
