This places more pressure on the producers of seed – to be more flexible, offer higher quality assurance and meet tighter deadlines.



We view developments in seed technology of increasing importance and a key component of high output agronomy systems for the future.



New facilities are being commissioned at our Finmere site to meet these new challenges and support our customers.



The work is being overseen by Martin Vousden (Finmere Seed Production Manager) and his team.



£2m is being spent at our Finmere Seed Plant on state of the art equipment to ensure Agrii customers are amongst the first to benefit from the latest seed developments.



Advanced full colour optical sorting, widely employed in food processing, is adding valuable extra quality and flexibility to Master Seeds production .



The technology is particularly effective at removing unhealthy, discoloured or spotted grains – including those affected by fusarium – as well as foreign bodies and weed seeds.



Finmere production capacity will be raised by 30% and an extra seed line will seriously increase quality processing options and flexibility across our four UK Master Seeds plants.



The investment is essential in allowing us to meet the ever-shorter lead times of our customers, while offering the widest possible range of variety and seed treatment combinations.

50,000 trials plots and 5 Agronomy Centres across the country give Agrii agronomists and customers a head-start on high output variety management.
