GOUVEIA VINEYARDS

Gouveia Vineyards was established in 1999 and is located inWallingford, Connecticut, high on 140 sun-kissed acres. This bucolicmasterpiece hints of Old World charm and of a time long past. Thewinery building is built of stone and old timbers and commands a spectacular 360 degree view of lush woodlands, open fields, grape-vines, horses grazing, and pristine hundred-year old farms. Visitorswho come to the winery for a wine tasting or a glass or bottle of wineare welcome to bring their own picnic lunch, but please, no other beverages.

From the moment the winery has opened, it has become a place that people have visited to get away from their stresses. Sometimes visitors like to sit back and enjoy a glass of wine by our double sidedfireplace or outside on our patios to take in the spectacular setting sun. Sometimes three or four generations of families will sit at a tableby the window and play Monopoly while sharing cheese and crack-ers. Sometimes friends will sit together on our dock and watch the fish swim beneath their feet. Sometimes a person will come in bythemselves and sit at a corner table to read a book. While they arethere they often strike up a conversation with a complete stranger, and when they leave, they leave knowing they made a new friend and wonderful memories. No matter what each visitor comes to thewinery for, they leave with a lighter step and the chance to dream their own impossible dreams.
