Etihad Airways deployed mobile and internet connectivity across its entire fleet of

24 Boeing 777 passenger aircraft. The full suite of in-flight connectivity services on

the fleet includes Wi-Fi, mobile services and Live TV. The services combine the

“Etihad Wi-Fly” solution, powered by the Panasonic Avionics Global

Communications Suite, and OnAir’s in-flight connectivity solution. Guests will be

able to enjoy high-speed broadband services on Wi-Fi enabled devices including

smartphones, tablets and laptops, allowing them to surf the internet, update social

media, purchase gifts, upgrade seats, change travel plans and much more, all from

the comfort of their seat.

2014 SITA OnAir -

OnAir's SwiftBroadband-based mobile phone and Wi-Fi in-flight connectivity was

deployed on Qatar Airways' first A380. The airline’s nine other A380s will also be

serviced with both Mobile OnAir and the next generation Internet OnAir.

2014 Thales SA -

Thales announced that Royal Jordanian Airlines’ new B787-8 will be equipped with

the Thales AVANT system. The system offers passengers some of the largest in-

flight entertainment seat back screens on the market, 17” in Crown (premium) and

10.6” touchscreens in Economy.

2014 Inmarsat plc -

Inmarsat announced that it had signed an agreement with SingTel, appointing the

specialised managed satellite services provider as a worldwide Value Added

Reseller for Global Xpress (GX), serving vertical markets. Inmarsat will be working

with SingTel to deliver a wholesale, managed Ka-band service powered by Global

Xpress. SingTel has a strong presence across Asia Pacific and will play an important

role in driving take-up of Inmarsat’s new high-throughput, Ka-band, GX satellite

service across Asia and Africa.

2014 Thales SA -

Thales announced that Turkish Airlines had officially selected the Thales TopSeries

AVANT in-flight entertainment system for 25 of its Airbus A321s and 20 of its

Boeing 737s. The system’s scalable design allows Turkish to offer differentiation

between classes such as single touch-screen in economy and interactive multi-

screen in business. The AVANT system is also based on the Android Operating

System, which accommodates a wide range of both off-the-shelf and airline specific

applications easily integrated using the unique Thales Software Developers Kit

(SDK).

Global Eagle Entertainment signed an agreement with Royal Air Maroc to provide a

broad array of local and international IFE content across its entire fleet. GEE will

provide Royal Air Maroc with a variety of movies, TV shows and audio, as well as a

announced in September of 2011, helps ensure the best possible in-flight

connectivity service for aircraft flying routes over the Middle East and India.

2012 SITA OnAir -

Emirates offered the first in-flight mobile phone service onboard an A380 aircraft.

In partnership with Emirates connectivity partner, OnAir, passengers aboard

Emirates’ A380 aircraft will now be able to stay in touch via phone calls or through

the mobile data link on their personal devices with their family, friends and

colleagues while in-flight. The service is in addition to the OnAir Wi-Fi service

already available on Emirates A380 aircraft.

Emirates announced that it would upgrade all aircraft equipped with the Panasonic

eX2 platform. The new interface will be introduced within two weeks across

Emirates’ A380 fleet and subsequently over the next year across the majority of

Emirates’ Boeing 777 aircraft. It will be available in all classes of service, an

Emirates standard. Emirates will roll-out a number of additional in-flight product

enhancements across the next few months as part of a multi-million dollar

investment in onboard technology.

OnAir announced the expansion of connectivity on Emirates' fleet of A380s. OnAir

Wi-Fi connectivity is now available across all of Emirates A380 fleet, which is the

world’s largest A380 fleet. The combination of Emirates’ extensive A380 route

network and OnAir’s consistent global coverage means passengers can access the

Internet through their smartphones, tablets and laptops while flying all over the

world.

Turkish Airlines and Panasonic Avionics added high-speed Wi-Fi broadband Internet

access to the airline's existing live, in-flight television service on Trans-Atlantic

flights using its IFE platform, PLANET. Passengers are now able to access high-

speed, unlimited Internet with laptops, tablets, smartphones or any other device

that is WLAN-enabled. Business travellers can also access their company’s Virtual

Private Network (VPN). The high-speed Internet service will initially be provided free

of charge as an introductory offer.

OnAir's in-flight connectivity became operational with Etihad Airways. The aircraft

– three Airbus A330-300 and one Airbus A320 aircraft – are equipped with in-

flight passenger connectivity services. On the A320, guests have full mobile

connectivity, enabling them to use their own mobile phones and Smartphones to

make and receive phone-calls, send and receive text messages and emails, and

access mobile data services.
